The chairman had indeed treated Monique unusually well. He gave her a big bouquet of roses and was even going to bring her to a party.
This had never happened before.
Chairman Moore was never willing to take part in this sort of party. He would ask a vice chairman, or the public department’s manager, or deputy manager to take part in his stead.
However, Chairman Moore unexpectedly attended this particular party. He apparently wanted to take Monique out for fun.
Mandy did not dare to snub. She promptly went to the mall and chose a Givenchy dress, a silver handbag, and a pair of white heels.
She even brought a senior makeup artist to the Moore mansion.
As Mandy arrived at Moore mansion and got down the car, the car Monique was in was right behind her.
Monique looked at Mandy and smiled happily. “Secretary Gray, why are you here?”
Mandy smiled and replied, “Chairman Moore asked me to send you a dress.”
“A dress?” Monique’s eyes were opened wide in surprise as she looked at Mandy.
Mandy nodded. Monique did not seem to know that Chairman Moore had planned to bring her to a party. “Chairman Moore wants to take you to a party.”
Monique was stunned. Was this also one of the tasks as a lover?
However, she had never taken part in a party like that—she knew nothing. Moreover, she could not drink…
Something weird always played out whenever she drank... She did not dare to drink anymore.
Mrs. Lawson walked out. “Monique, you’re back. Secretary Gray, you’re here too. What a coincidence! Everyone’s here. Let’s go in and dress Monique up.”
Angel seemed to understand what they said. They were probably going to dress her mother up to prepare her for a date with her father; or at least it seemed like it.
