The office was dead silent and terrifying. Aside from Monique's own heartbeat, all she could hear was her own heavy breathing.
She wanted to ask Henry what had happened.
However, she did not have the courage to break the silence.
She felt that being quiet now would be the best thing to do to keep her on the safe end.
She decided to wait for Henry to question her before she started speaking.
However, to Monique's surprise, Henry did not say a word. Instead, he marched his way in big strides toward Monique, stretching out his arms to surprisingly grab her by the neck.
Henry's pupils were shrunken as he exuded a cold, heartless aura that could easily petrify anyone near him, in addition to his fury that was emanating from his every pore.
Monique was terrified; she knew Henry was mad, but she never expected him to be so angry that he would choke her to death. 'She was fooling around, yet the innocence in her eyes makes me want to just destroy her.'
Henry met Monique's eyes. The strength of his grip gradually increased without him realizing it as he noticed Monique not attempting to struggle.
Monique felt the air leave her lungs, but she did not intend to struggle under Henry's stunning looks, along with the hateful stare he had with his teeth clenched in fury.
'Just how much does he hate me?'
Monique thought that it would be a good idea to just die by his hands so she would not need to continue suffering ever again.
Monique saw herself like an abandoned child, paying for her life with her body.
She thought she would be able to capture Henry's heart, but even if she failed to do that, it could not have ended with Henry trying to choke her to death.
'What have I done? He did not say anything, yet he’s sentencing me to death?
'My parents abandoned me, and now you want to kill me?'
