Louise knew well about Monique's feelings.
Finally, after weeping for a long time, she ceased crying after wearing herself out and her eyes were swollen. She struggled to get herself up, but a painful sensation struck her as though all her bones had fallen apart and were being reassembled.
It was given that she felt the pain as yesterday, she was being sprinkled with cold water for a very long time, followed by being tortured by Henry for some time.
Louise quickly came to help her up, "Are you alright?"
Monique shook her head, staring at Louise's concerning and self-blaming expression, she choked, "It's none of your business, it's not because of you."
"I know, what's wrong between the two of you? I can see that he’s obviously concerned for you!" Louise said. Louise saw a sense of gentleness in Henry's eyes, which he would never have when dealing with other people.
However, Louise could not get it when she saw Monique's depressed look.
Besides, her entire body was covered with injuries.
Monique pursed her lips, not knowing where she should start telling the story.
She lifted her head and beamed around the room. She had not realized that she was located in an unfamiliar environment as Henry, the lowly man, appeared before her the moment she woke up. She could only recall being in Henry's office when she passed out, "Where's this place?"
Louise was dumbfounded and said, "You don't know where this place is? Didn't you used to stay here?"
Monique glanced around the room again, but she could not recall.
She shook her head.
"I thought you're staying here with the chairman. This is the eighth floor of the third block of the Star River Residence. Earlier when I met you, you're in the break room of the chairman's office and later on, the chairman carried you over to this place. Throughout the journey, he was being gentle and lovely with every action he made. I've never seen the chairman being so gentle." Louise said, lively, but Monique's expression was awful
Lovely!
