Logan ran after Louise once he was done speaking.
Henry saw the concern in Stella’s eyes as she watched her brother leave. A grin appeared on Henry’s face as he said, “Your brother’s on the prowl for ladies as usual.”
That was right. Men like them were spoilt with choices. Henry rarely saw his peers be satisfied with one woman. He wondered why he could not be like them.
If the woman wanted to leave, he should just let her leave when she was worthless.
Did she think he could not let go of her?
Stella was surprised Henry initiated conversation with her. She put on a soft smile and said, “My brother is a sucker for pretty girls. He abandons me all the time. I like you more. There are hardly any rumors about you.”
Henry pursed his lips and absentmindedly asked, “Why are you back? Your brother said you were still filming.”
He was aware of Stella’s feelings for him. He figured he should put some effort in knowing the woman if she were to be Angel’s mother.
Stella was thoroughly enjoying Henry’s attention—a sweet and warm feeling crept into her heart. In the past, she had tried to initiate conversations but Henry only gave her monosyllabic responses.
At that moment, Henry not only initiated conversation, but also asked about her life.
Perhaps it was true that married men often sought out excitement elsewhere.
Stella believed she was not a side chick. She was away for four years, pursuing her education and career in film.
