Henry's expression made Stella utterly heartbroken.
She wanted to get closer to Henry but she got a feeling that she would never be able to do so.
Even though they were physically close to each other, Stella felt that Henry's mind was not with her.
It was silent for a brief moment but Stella felt as though a very long period passed. She was worried that Henry would not answer her request.
Henry thought of Stella's action of protecting him with her own body without a second thought. He realized he would have to have her taking over the role of Angel's mother. Henry's thin lips moved and said, "Enter my car!"
His lips tightly sealed as soon as he was done talking. He took big steps and marched to his blue Maserati.
Stella nodded with thrill, "Mm mm, thank you Hen."
She then ran to Henry and clung to his strong arm.
The police chief was thrown for the loop when he saw the two of them being so intimate. 'Wasn’t Young Master Moore was hugging another woman a few days ago? Why did he change to another woman? It’s only been a few days and he’s changed to another woman.'
Henry dropped Stella back home first before heading back to Moore's manor.
He went into Angel's room to sneak a peek and found out that Angel was already asleep. There was a faint stain of tears seen at the corner of her eyes.
He cautiously covered her with a blanket, using only one hand. Gently, he tucked her messy hair to the posterior of her ears and kissed her forehead with love.
Henry once thought of just being with Monique since she was Angel's biological mother.
However, Monique seemed to have no intention of staying with him as she was thinking of ways to leave his side.
Henry would never allow Angel to leave his side. Previously, he did not have an idea of Angel's existence. However, the moment he found out about Angel, he decided to acknowledge Angel as his biological family member.
