The next morning at the Moore’s family.
“Ask her to come down!” A magnetic and cold voice came out from the man’s thin lips.
His handsome and cold face was emotionless. A pair of dark deep eyes looking gloomy. The room was deadly silent, servants were all lowering their heads and did not dare to make a sound. It was so suffocatingly gloomy.
Mrs. Lee was very attentive to detail. She could tell from the Young Master’s face that he was unhappy. Did Ms. Xander offend him?
She quickly went upstairs. It was a misty early morning. Monique was still sleeping.
She opened her eyes as she heard the loud knocking on the door. Who was knocking on the door?
Her heartbeat sped up. Could it be Henry?
She quickly woke up and removed the wooden chair clumsily, then opened the door.
Mrs. Lee heard the rustling sound inside. The door was not opened after so long. She knocked once more.
“Who is that!” Monique opened the door impatiently, yet she saw Mrs. Lee standing outside. She instantly felt awkward.
“Mrs. Lee, how early! Anything?” Monique pursed her lips and said in a smile.
“Young Master is looking for you,” Mrs. Lee looked at the wooden chair behind Monique suspiciously and said.
“Sure. I will go down once I get changed,” Monique rubbed her eyes. What a wicked man he was! She could finally take a good rest and he had to wake her up so early.
“What’s the use of that chair?” Mrs. Lee could not help but ask.
Monique turned around and looked at the chair behind the door, feeling awkward. However, she could not tell her that it was used to avoid the Young Master! So she could only say, “To avoid the thief!”
To prevent a perverted thief!
