Henry got out of the car and marched into the police station, straight to the police chief's office.
The police chief immediately made a call to one of the officers to bring in coffee when he saw Mr. Moore striding into his office.
"Mr. Moore, what brings you here?" Chief William asked politely.
A damp chill spread throughout the atmosphere when Henry stepped foot into the police station. Henry sat down without saying a word, his thin lips tightly sealed in a straight line.
His towering silhouette sat in the chair, radiating a chill like the arrival of a grim reaper.
Seeing Henry so silent tensed the atmosphere more; William thought that Henry was still dissatisfied about being injured the night before.
He forced a smile, but his knees were shaking. "We've interrogated the criminal from last night and we learned that they were just drunk and up to no good when they saw the gorgeous Miss Graham. No one else was involved and the perps were sent to court. They will be sure to get a heavy sentence."
Henry snorted, "The security in B City is slipping. Take now, for example; many things have happened. You still want to be police chief, don’t you?"
William fumbled hearing Henry snort.
'Of course, I still want to be police chief! Who doesn't?'
However, William dared not answer Henry that way; his body was stiffened. "It's true, much has happened lately. I'll have a meeting to get this issue resolved!"
Henry's body stiffened, his eyes cold while his towering silhouette emanated a frigid air.
William felt out of luck; he never imagined there to be so many things happening around Henry. William felt devastated, but still forced himself to smile.
