Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 63

When Monique got back to the office, she passed the coffee to Shaun so that he could distribute the drinks to the other secretaries.

“Thank you, very kind of you, Miss Xander,” Shaun thanked her politely. He was decent-looking, tall and skinny, and wore glasses. “How much is it? I’ll transfer it to you.”

“It just so happened that I passed by Mansion Coffee today. It’s my treat.” Monique pursed her lips and smiled gently, her voice clear and crisp.

Her face was fair and she had delicate features; her deep brown eyes transformed into crescent moons when she smiled and her pretty dimples reminded him of blooming lotuses in the pond after rainfall.

Shaun was in a daze. His eyes flickered and he quickly regained composure and smiled. “No, please, send me your QR code.”

He insisted on paying her back.

Monique had no choice but to accept. He was being rather persistent.

After bidding Shaun farewell, Monique walked away with the coffee with her single order of coffee.

Shaun could not resist staring at her slim figure while she walked away. He seemed to realize why the chairman treated this woman differently.

Her beauty was not out of this world, neither was it artificial with heavy makeup. Her beauty was so pure and refreshing that she naturally drew others toward her.

Monique felt her heart thumping as she walked toward the chairman’s office. Her face flushed red from the nerves, making her seem like a young girl in love.

Henry had his head lowered as he focused on the documents. He looked so attractive with his chiseled features, prominent nose, and his perfectly outlined lips slightly pursed. His upright posture gave him a strong and aloof presence.
