Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 65

“Monique! You silly girl! Fool me, will you!” Henry yelled. His handsome face twisted in anger. His tightly pressed lips and wrinkled eyes turned into an icy expression.

“What is it?” Monique stared at Henry with her almond-shaped eyes in silence for almost a minute before asking. She was puzzled. There was no need to be this angry, even if he did hate the taste of the coffee she bought.

Angel was startled too. Daddy had always been very gentle with her. She had never seen him lose his temper. No wonder Mommy looked unhappy.

“Come here.” There was a frosty bite in his deep voice.

His chiseled face looked unusually fierce; his gaze on her was cold and chilly.

Monique felt the atmosphere in the office drop to a freezing temperature. His cold expression and tense muscles were all signs that he was truly angry.

She had no idea what she did wrong. She just wanted to treat him to a cup of coffee.

Goodness gracious!

Monique was about to lose it when she stared at the temperamental man. She wanted to smack herself in the face for having the idea of buying him coffee. Look what she did now!

His commanding tone and the displeased look on his face frightened her. She dared not go near him, but she knew that things would only get worse if she refused to obey him. The image of him insulting her flashed into her mind instantly.

Monique took a deep breath and approached him cautiously.

His features remained sharp and clear. His brooding eyes were distant and cold; his lips pressed together tightly. Even though he was sitting, he still seemed to be staring her down with a condescending gaze.

How dare this woman pull something like that on him?
