Monique ran to the bathroom and closed the door.

The pretty face in the makeup mirror was as red as a monkey's butt.

"Monique, are you a pig?" Monique pouted her small mouth. It was not a good excuse to say that she had a stomachache.

"Well, it was so awkward just now that people mistakenly thought that I had my period."

Monique stayed in the bathroom for a long time. After making sure that Henry's car had gone far away, she came out.

Seeing Monique come out, Mrs. Lee walked out of the kitchen and said, "Monique, wait for me for a while. I'll make some brown sugar ginger tea for you, and then you can go to work."

Monique blushed. "No need, Mrs. Lee. It’s not my period now. I just wanted to go to the bathroom."

Looking at Monique's shy look, Mrs. Lee smiled kindly and said, "Well, if it’s the period next time and you feel uncomfortable, just tell me and I will cook ginger tea for you."

Monique nodded, feeling warm in her heart. She grinned and said, "Mrs. Lee, I'm going to work. I'll be late."

"The driver is waiting for you at the door. Slow down." Mrs. Lee watched Monique leave.

She always felt that Monique was a little different from before as she returned this time.

Monique got in the car that Henry had arranged for the driver.

"Uncle Zhang, please stop after this traffic light. I'll go to the company by myself," Monique said to the driver in front of him when they were about to arrive at the company.

Uncle Zhang looked embarrassed. "It’s only short distance. I'll send you to the company."

Monique smiled and said, "I ate a little too much in the morning. I want to go down for a walk. There is only short way. Don't worry and there's nothing else."

Uncle Zhang said, "All right."

After passing the traffic light, Monique got out of the car.

There were about two stations from the company, five minutes' journey.

She was just a worker, and the car arranged by Henry was too conspicuous. She didn't want her colleagues to talk about it and comment about her.

In the past, it was because she had some unclear relationship with Henry.

But now he had a girlfriend.

She shouldn't have caused him any unnecessary trouble.
