Lucille did not say anything more after listening to Zoel.
She got up, picked up the feather duster and started cleaning the paintings on the wall in the gallery.
Seeing that, Zoel did not force her but said instead, "Forget it, think for yourself. I am indeed doing it for your own good."
Lucille did not respond to him. She just focused on what she was doing.
Throughout the day, Lucille kept all the grievances in her heart. When it was time to get off work, she got dressed immediately, hailed a cab and rushed to Franklin's company.
Lucille stood outside Franklin's company and saw Natasha from a distance, who was dressed gorgeously with a face full of makeup.
Although Natasha was younger than her, she liked a sexy style after she had started working, which made her look more mature.
Lucille did not dare to go in, hence she just stood at the entrance.
However, Natasha saw her.
She walked out with a sarcastic look and asked, "Lucille, what are you doing here? Are you waiting for President Moore?"
Lucille did not expect to be noticed by Natasha.
She had to admit it, "Yeah."
She was indeed looking for Franklin.
"President Moore isn't here today." Natasha said.
"He isn't here?" Lucille was surprised.
"Yeah, he isn't here." Natasha glanced at the bag in Lucille's hand and thought of something, "Well, Lucille. I planned to get a new cell phone recently. If you are willing to sponsor me, I can tell you where President Moore usually goes."
She pretended to be innocent and tried to seduce Franklin previously, but it ended up with her few months of salary being deducted.
Natasha put all the blame on Lucille, thus she naturally wanted to find a chance to get some money back.
"I don't have much money."
Lucille was telling the truth.
After she married Franklin, he did not allow her to work. After she was divorced, her only source of income was her job in the gallery, plus the money paid by Mark on that day.
In fact, it happened to be Lucille's richest day over the last few months.
Listening to what Lucille said, Natasha was not worried. Instead, she said, "Lucille, aren't you here waiting for President Moore? But you also know the difference between our family and Mr. Moore's. Without my help, I'm afraid that you won't be able to meet him even after your labor."
Natasha didn't know what happened that day.
However, she could tell that Lucille was most probably looking for Franklin because of the child.
It was the only possible connection between the two of them.
Lucille was speechless. She held her wallet in one hand and gritted her teeth, "How much do you want? I...I only have around 3,000 dollars in my card."
She had more than that, but she knew Natasha well, thus she deliberately told the bare minimum amount.
"3,000 dollars?"
Natasha curled her lips. Usually, it was Alma who gave Natasha money to spend. Alma was a stingy person who only gave Natasha little amount of money. However, the amount was still much more than Lucille's salary.
They were both the daughters of the Jules family, but Natasha actually had a good life.
"I want 5,000 dollars. You can pay me in installments so I can tell you where President Moore is going tonight."
Natasha was calculating that 5,000 dollars was enough to buy a pair of branded high-heels.
"5,000 dollars?"
The amount was really a lot for Lucille.
"Yes, if you are not willing, then I'll go back inside." Natasha was afraid that Lucille didn't believe her telling about the absence of Franklin, "You can just wait here, I'm going to get off work soon. If you find me again tonight, I will increase the price."
Natasha spoke as she was about to walk into the company building. Lucille, who had suppressed her emotion for the whole afternoon, was very impulsive at that moment.
