“Sir, why is Tim still unconscious?” Zachary was worried about Tim, so he approached and patted the latter's cheek.

David scratched the back of his head and smiled awkwardly. “Perhaps I gave him too much sleeping drug!”

“That can't be it. If that was the case, why did Zachary wake up so quickly?” Jason looked at Zachary in puzzlement.

Confused, the rest turned toward Zachary in unison. “That's right. Zachary, why are you awake when your Tim isn't? We used the same sleeping drug on both of you.”

“Perhaps I woke up faster than Tim because my body has a higher tolerance. How much sleeping drug did you give us? You didn't give us an amount that was harmful, right?” Zachary looked at them with a frown.

Hearing that, Jason comforted Zachary by saying, “Oh, no. We used a normal dosage—”

Jason wanted to tell Zachary that they used a dosage suitable for adults. However, the sound of a car engine came from outside before Jason could finish his sentence.

Jason exchanged glances with the others, and they all uttered simultaneously, “Someone's here!”

“Is Boss here? Let's go check it out!” Abel hurried outside.

Jason and David followed suit, leaving only one man behind to watch the boys.

Zachary embraced Tim and asked the man, “Who are you guys working for?”

“I can't tell you that!” The man shook his head.

Zachary pursed his lips in response. Fine! After all, I'll have the answer soon enough.

The nearer the sound from outside got, the more anxious Zachary became. At the end of the day, he was still a child who was kidnapped. Besides, he didn't know exactly what to expect.

Zachary glanced at Tim with his deeply furrowed brows. Why isn't Tim awake yet?

“Tim!” Zachary touched Tim's forehead worriedly and realized that the latter's forehead was hot to the touch.

In the next second, Zachary quickly touched his own forehead. Tim's forehead is hotter than mine!

Has Tim fallen sick? Zachary's expression changed instantly.

“Sir, could you please see if Tim is down with a fever?” Zachary was incredibly worried when he asked the man to check Tim's body temperature. No wonder Tim is still unconscious!

The kidnapper touched Tim's forehead and felt a little hot.

“I think he has a fever!”

“What should we do? Tim is still unconscious!” Zachary was so worried that he was on the verge of tearing up. This is my fault! I should've realized Tim has a fever. He was still fine when we were together. Why did he have a fever after he passed out?

“Calm down!” the man consoled Zachary before turning around to look for a wet towel. Right then, a masked man, surrounded by Jason and the others, appeared before them.

Zachary wrapped his arms around Tim and stared at the kidnappers warily. At that moment, Zachary was frightened and in distress.

“Boss—”

The man watching Tim and Zachary wanted to say something, but the masked man held up his hand to shut the former up.

“What's the matter?” the masked man asked.

Zachary found the voice unfamiliar, and he sized up the masked man. I don't think I know this man.

“Boss, the child has a fever!” the man reported hastily.

The masked man swept a glance at Zachary and froze momentarily. The child looks so calm. As expected from Benjamin's son.

“Is the fever serious?” the masked man asked.

“Not really.”

“In that case, leave him be!” The masked man didn't care if the fever could cause Tim brain damage.

Zachary was fuming, but he suppressed his urge to have a go at his kidnappers. “If something bad happens to Tim, we won't be valuable to you anymore, no?”

Justin arched a brow and stared at Zachary. “If he dies, I still have you.”

Zachary gritted his teeth and suppressed his rage. “If that's the case, let Tim go! I'll stay with you. I don't want Tim's fever to cause him brain damage!”
