Benjamin knew what Regan was up to, but he still reminded the children, “Keep your distance from him in the future. Your mother will be upset if she finds out he's trying to get close to you!”
“Don't worry, we won't get close to him. He's a bad man!” Jesse gritted her teeth as she said. She disliked Regan.
Gavin and the others nodded in agreement. “We can take care of ourselves. We only let him get close to us yesterday to see what he was up to!”
Benjamin nodded. He felt at ease knowing that there were bodyguards protecting them, so he wasn't worried that Regan would do anything rash.
“When do you plan to tell your mother about the money? Are you sure she won't get upset knowing you've taken Regan's money?”
The six kids exchanged glances. They knew that they had upset their mom quite a few times recently. They were nervous and unsure of what to do next.
Gavin turned to Benjamin with a rare smile. “Daddy, why not you help us tell Mommy?”
With Daddy around, he can still coax Mommy if she gets angry.
Benjamin glanced at the little guy and let out a light snort.
Is he calling me Daddy only because he needs a favor from me?
“Mr. Graham, can you please talk to Mommy for us first? We'll explain everything to her once we get home!” Zachary also asked for Benjamin's help.
“Mr. Graham, it's better if you speak on behalf of us!” Jasper bootlicked Benjamin with a cheeky grin.
Benjamin's eyes gleamed as he suddenly asked a question.
“Where is the money?”
The kids paused for a moment. Then, all of them stared at him wide-eyed.
“I've got it!” Zachary blinked as a sense of foreboding washed over him.
“Transfer the money to me. I'll find a time to talk to your mother. If she doesn't want to accept the money, I'll return it to Regan later.”
Benjamin looked serious. He was indeed planning to do so. However, if Arissa didn't object, then all this money would go to her.
The kids felt that something was off, but they couldn't refute Benjamin.
“Alright then!” Zachary chuckled, deciding that cheering up Mommy was the most important thing.
If Mommy gets angry, the money we're holding won't be of much use.
“If Mommy doesn't object, you can give it back to me!” Zachary reminded Benjamin.
“Let's see what your mother thinks!” Benjamin didn't make any promises. “Transfer me the money now, we're almost reaching the school,” he said calmly.
“Okay!” Zachary took out her phone and immediately transferred the money to Benjamin.
“I've transferred the money, you'll be able to receive it in a moment!”
“Okay!” A subtle smile tugged at the corner of Benjamin's mouth.
Upon reaching the school, the six kids bid him farewell one after another. Benjamin watched them enter the campus before taking out his phone to accept the huge sum of money via transfer. Then, he called Robert, the principal.
Robert was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Benjamin early in the morning.
“Mr. Graham!” The principal's voice was cautious because he was unsure of why Benjamin would call so early.
“Yesterday, someone posed as a cleaner to get close to Gavin and the kids. Is this how you handle the security?”
Benjamin's overwhelming aura and icy tone instantly sent chills down Robert's spine.
Faced with Benjamin's questioning, Robert broke out in a cold sweat. “Mr. Graham, I apologize. I will investigate this immediately!”
“If something like this happens again, I'll make sure you won't be able to maintain your position as the principal!” Benjamin rebuked sharply.
“Yes, yes...” Robert replied anxiously, not daring to object.
Everything used to be so smooth. Why do problems start cropping up after the Graham kids start attending school?
“You better fire any deceitful staff at the school!” Benjamin warned before hanging up the phone.
Deceitful staff?
Robert's eyes widened as realization dawned on him. But who was the one causing this trouble?
He had emphasized time and again the importance of ensuring campus security, yet there were still staff who dared to let people in recklessly.
They completely disregarded his orders as if it was nothing!
Scowling, Robert immediately called for a meeting with all the staff to find the person responsible.
