You're The Best Medicine For Me novel Chapter 118

Shirley went to the toilet after she finished eating, she saw Kevin standing in the corridor once she went out.

Shirley walked towards Kevin, “Kevin, why are you here?”

“I am waiting for you,” Kevin pointed at the veranda and said, “Let’s have a talk there.”

He slightly lowered his head and walked towards the veranda slowly.

Shirley followed him. When they reached there, she could see the breath-taking view and colourful light of the city.

Kevin turned around and put his hands on her shoulder, he hugged her in his arms.

Shirley was startled, she raised her hand shockingly and stopped halfway. She was at a loss.

“Ke…Kevin…what are you…doing?” Shirley stopped moving. She felt uneasy and did not know what should she do. She seldom had such intimate behaviour with Kevin.

Although they had bodily contact before, it was unavoidable as she was sick.

However, she had not met Kevin for two years, she felt that she was estranged from him.

Kevin did not release her, he hugged her even tighter. His handsome face approached her hair and said, “If you are sad, just lean against me and cry. Don’t keep your woe in your heart, it is bad for your health.”

Initially, Shirley was nervous but she was relieved after hearing Kevin’s words.

Her hands rested on Kevin’s waist, she shook her head and said, “I am used to it, it is not the first time being scolded by people.”

Being a single mother was more or less to be discriminated against. In other people’s opinion, no matter it was premarital pregnancy or carried a child after divorce, they would think that the single mother had a problem with herself.

Louis spoke something hurtful just now but she did not have feeling about that.

“I still have Master, you and a lot of seniors that love me. I am not sad,” she grabbed his clothes and pushed Kevin away.

Kevin released her instinctively when she pushed him. He put his hand on her head and looked at her eyes gently.

“Shirley, I have something to tell you.”

Shirley was stunned. She breathed in deeply when looking up at him.

She thought that Kevin would tell her something serious.

Was it about the matter of Bryan kissed her?

“My birthday is around the corner,” he caressed her head and spoke.

Shirley was dumbfounded, she did not really know when was his birthday although she knew him for many years.

He never said and never celebrated his birthday.

She was kind of ignorant.

“That’s great. We will celebrate together, when is your birthday?” Shirley wanted to hold a birthday party for him to appreciate him for taking care of her for so many years.

Kevin looked up at the night sky, “Let me hold the birthday party by myself, you just attend it.”

After saying that, he lowered his head and looked at her, “I have a small request.”

“What request is it?”

“You come alone on that day, don’t bring your children and Mildred. I don’t want it to be too lively, I just want you to accompany me during my birthday.”

Kevin enjoyed tranquilness, she knew that.

His request was nothing, Shirley did not hesitate and nodded immediately, “Ok, but you have not told me when is your birthday?”

Kevin took out his phone and flipped through the calendar, he said, “On the day of the auction, next Saturday, National Day.”

Shirley was surprised, she took out her phone and flipped, “Do you follow the Gregorian calendar or the Lunar calendar?”
