You Were My Only One novel Chapter 10

Hua-hua is Zijin Song’s pet cat, and the three of them are almost collapsed from the fright. She put out an affectionate hand on the arm of Scarlet Song and gave her a sharp pinch at where Harry Shen couldn't see, staring at her with a warning, “Girl, watch your mouse!”

Scarlet Song gasped in pain and thought Mrs. Song was highly possible her stepmother, or else she always stuck up for Zijin, defending her despite all the unforgivable things she had done.

No matter how filial she was, what she got in the end must be her mother's indifference.

She shook off her hand vigorously, looking down at Zijin and Younan Tang with a smile on her face, and sneered: “When some people do all shameless things and run to show off in an ostentatious manner, why didn't they think that rabbits will bite even if they are bullied too much?

Zijin’s face got blush and white and her hands clenched into a fist. The manicure she just did was broken. She clenched her teeth and tried to retort back, but been stopped by Mrs. Song with her eyes.

Harry, sitting on the couch, couldn't sense the eerie vibe in the living room as he stared Scarlet and wondered: "Who did shameless things to make you so angry? You tell me, I'Il take it out for you!"

Scarlet eyed him suspiciously, with his long, deep, narrow eyes as deep as a sea, and it was hard for her to pry out what he was really thinking. He looked straightly at her now, as if he knew the human heart, so that she felt invisible pressure, and dared not look him in the eye again, just looking away slowly.

Zijin and Yunan were going to have a baby, but he was still so calm and relaxed. Did he really do not know or pretend not to know? If he didn’t know, it only that he was stupid. If he pretended not to know, then this man had a terrible deep mind.

What man in the world can be so calm when he learns that his wife has cheated on him?
