Maximilian couldn’t help frowning when seeing that as he never expected their weapon to be stained with poison. His face turned darkened. Now he was sure that those ninjas were here to kill him.

So Maximillian started to attack them more fiercely without hesitation. None of them were left enough time to defend themselves.

Seeing what happened, Connor couldn’t help gasping. He was totally stunned while looking at Maximilian as the result had gone far beyond his expectation. Now he didn’t even notice what was going on.

Then he couldn’t help thumbing up and exclaimed, “Mr. Lee, you really deserve to be worshiped.”

Hearing that, Maximilian was rendered speechless by his flattering words.

But he didn’t intend to continue to have a long talk, “Alright, it’s time to think about it.”

Connor nodded, “I didn’t expect them to come so soon. My guards were so weak that they couldn’t even stop them.”

As Maximilian saw all Connor’s guard were killed. He shook his head. Just as what Connor said, all his guards were too weak to face those ninjas, which even went beyond Maximilian’s expectation.

But then he smiled, “Okay, don’t think about it. Just calm down.”

Connor suddenly said, “Mr. Lee, those ninjas got here for retaliation so soon. Though I was scared, I am still worried about my daughter.”

Connor was afraid that Tia would be in danger. He knew that those hitmen from Sakura Kingdom were good at all kinds of dirty skills of assassination. Of course he didn’t want her daughter to get involved.

Maximilian could also understand his worry. So he comforted, “I can do you a favor. But I am not sure if I can. You still need to be careful.”

Hearing that, Connor hurried to nod. He still trusted whatever Maximilian said. He was sure that Maximilian would never fail him. So he said, “Mr. Lee, are you willing to protect my daughter?”

“Well, perhaps I need to live in your house for a few days.” Maximilian replied.

Hearing that, Connor didn’t reject. Instead, he agreed out of thrill, “Mr. Lee, it’s my great pleasure. I really appreciate that since you are willing to stay to help me.”

Maximilian just let out a smile. He was also aware that the Sakura Kingdom would still come for trouble. So for the sake of Connor and Tia, he would like to stay to protect them.

Since he once owed Connor a lot, now it was time to return.

Connor was so excited to hear that Maximilian was willing to protect both him and his daughter. He even deemed himself daydreaming when hearing that.
