Drew went blank for a moment and pointed at himself. He asked, “Are you calling me?”
“Are you Drew? If you are, I am calling you,” Harrison said lazily.
“Yes, its me.”
Drew walked fast and then stopped to clear up his suit carefully. Then he looked at Alfie and said, “Do I look OK? I don’t want to be disrespectful at the first meeting.”
“Everything is fine. Take it easy, brother. Look at you. You are like a bridegroom urging to have sex with your bride.” Alfie joked.
“You don’t understand.” After Drew said these words, he walked to the door of the chairman’s office.
Alfie and Tommy were about to follow Drew, but stopped by Harrison. “The chairman only asked to meet Drew, and others should not come into the office.”
“We are not ‘others’. Drew is my elder brother. I should come in.”
Drew looked back and waved his hand to Alfie. “You stay outside and mind yourselves.”
Alfie looked Drew entering into the office with his mouth twisted hopelessly.
Once in the office, Drew was shocked by the luxurious decoration with high-end materials imported from other countries. He estimated that each meter’s materials would cost 10 thousand dollars.
Then a set of bookcase, table and chairs made of rosewood came into his view and made his eyes pop out.
Finally, Drew’s eyes were fixed on the executive chair behind the office table, which was also made of rosewood. He looked at the back of Maximilian’s head in fear and trembling.
What was happening? Why the chairman turned his back on me? Did he have any dissatisfaction with me?
The more Drew thought, the more perturbed he was. He even trembled slightly.
“Mr., Mr. Lee. Nice to meet you. I am Drew here for the development contract.” Drew made a self-introduction nervously.
Maximilian was playing with his mobile phone and still kept silence.
Due to the dead silence, Drew felt his heart was about to jump out of his body.
“Mr. Lee, could you hear my words?”
“Stand there and wait. Don’t you see that I’m playing games?”
Hearing the answer, Drew felt calm and stood there waiting for Maximilian to finish his games.
Maximilian played another two rounds of games and then put down his mobile phone, and asked, “What are you doing here?”
“I’m here to make clear the commencement day. We cannot wait. If the construction is postponed again, the staff and equipment will be discharged then. We cannot afford the expenditure of long-time stop. Maximilian must have told you this.” After finishing his talk, Drew got a fright. It seemed that he didn’t see Maximilian since he entered the office.
Looking around, he was sure that he didn’t see Maximilian in the office. Suddenly, Drew felt his hair stand on end.
Maximilian Lee, Mr. Lee.
