As people down the stage was complimenting and sighing for the exquisiteness of the items exhibited, Rowen suddenly stood up and yelled out in a powerful voice, "No matter how much I shall pay, I'm going to get all these treasures, including you, lady!"
The hall resounded with the voice of Rowen, which had drawn the attention of those rich men around. Finding that it was Rowen who made such rampant announcement, those fellows dared not to do anything but to lower down their heads, gritting their teeth silently. They all felt it the same way that it was excessive for Rowen to take away all those curios regardless of others' feeling, while no one would dare to speak out the voice inside in case of getting himself trouble.
Rowen looked around and then grinned, yelling to the lady loudly, "It seems that none of the guests around are able to afford all these items today, except me!"
Connor, sitting aside and looking at Rowen, chose to remain silent since he neither got any interest in those curios nor what was inside the head of Rowen.
For the chairman of the auction standing aside, he was stunned into cold sweat with his eyes wide open out of panic. He had long heard the obscene and filthy essence of Rowen, and knew nothing about what would happen to his daughter if he took her away.
However, it was out of what the chairman had expected that his daughter, smiling seductively, stepped towards Rowen, stroked his chest softly with one hand and said, "That would be great, Rowen. Besides, I always appreciate those who are tough and, of course, rich."
"You really know how to be loved, don't you?" Rowen laughed and seemed satisfied with the flattering of the chairman's daughter.
The unexpected interactions between the beauty and the wrinkled old man Rowen were such an eyesore to the guests around.
Chief Carr frowned, turned to his assistant and asked, "Tell me something about the man called Rowen."
"Sorry, but I'm not sure about that too. All I know is that he has his hands in a dozens of company, and the yearly revenue of each of them is nearly immeasurable." Answered his assistant.
