Young Lord of The Dragon Sect novel Chapter 924

Just now, Clark was angry at the fact that Demon was defeated by Maximilian. Now Rowen’s bad news made him even angrier.

Misfortunes never came singly. Clark didn’t see that coming and wouldn’t have believed it if he hadn’t heard it personally.

Suddenly, Clark flushed with anger and slapped Rowen across the face, snarling, "You trash! How come you fell into his trap?"

Rowen was furious at this moment. He was a big shot in W City anyway, but now, he was given a slap across the face by Clark, and he found that hard to swallow.

However, Rowen thought of something. Since Clark came from the Dragon Sect, and no one dared to challenge the authority of the Dragon Sect in H City, Rowen held his anger back at last.

"I’m sorry, young master. It’s my fault. However, you also asked him to join us back then." Rowen reminded Clark.

Clark’s face darkened the moment he heard Rowen’s words. He didn’t expect Rowen to mention that, and that enraged him.

"Shut the fuck up!" Clark roared. He hated it when someone pulled the rug from under his feet, and Rowen’s words made him completely disappointed.

Rowen could do nothing about Clark. He knew Clark’s personality well, and he kept his temper in the end. Now that Clark wanted to play the game this way, he had no other choice but to play along.

Clark wanted to find a punchbag and a scapegoat, and finally, he found that Rowen was the best one.

Poor Rowen, he had no idea that he was fooled by Clark up to now. Since things had gone this far, he had no other option. If it weren’t for the fact that he wanted Clark instead of Connor to get the collaborative contract, he wouldn’t have chosen Clark either.

"Young master, it’s my problem, and I’ll take that responsibility till the end. Please don’t get mad, young master." Rowen started to make an apology.

Clark calmed down a little after seeing Rowen apologizing to him. What Clark wanted was to have Rowen apologize to him. In other words, if Rowen hadn’t apologized to him, he wouldn’t have agreed.

Clark hated Maximilian’s guts right now. If it weren’t for Maximilian, he wouldn’t have been humiliated like this. Clark looked at Rowen and set him a very difficult task. "Then I’ll leave this job to you. I don’t care how, but you have to get rid of this Maximilian. Can you do it?"

Rowen trembled upon hearing that. He was astonished at such a result because he never expected Clark to say so. Now Rowen plunged in thought.

Clark got impatient and snorted, "I knew you weren’t able to do it. You useless loser! And you expect me to work with you? What do you have to offer me?"

Rowen was not an idiot. He knew Clark was implying that if he couldn’t think of an idea, Clark would stop work with him. Rowen quivered, not knowing what to do.

"Young master, please don’t be angry. Just rest assured. I won’t disappoint you. I will try my best to make it up to you." Rowen said suddenly.

It was as if Clark just heard the funniest joke in the world. He had assumed that Rowen was powerful, but it turned out that he was just boasting.

Clark said grumpily, "Stop flattering me and cut the crap. Do something real. Didn’t you tell me that there were a lot of talents in W City?"
