Your Love Is But a Dream (Clara and Wren) novel Chapter 268

Before Katrina could answer, Carlisle suddenly stepped forward and forcefully grabbed her hand, pulling her behind him.

Teressa was taken aback. She saw Katrina frowning, trying to break free from Carlisle's grasp. Though fear stirred inside her, Teressa found the courage to step forward.

"Mr. Zachman, Ms. Caldwell is—"

Before Teressa could approach, Robert stepped in her path, firmly saying, "Teressa, Mrs. Zachman will be going back with Mr. Zachman. You should leave now."

Robert's intervention immediately made Teressa realize that something wasn't right. She finally understood that the atmosphere had shifted in an unsettling way.

"Ms. Caldwell is—" Teressa tried again.

Carlisle shot a cold glare at her, silencing her instantly. He then pulled Katrina closer, ignoring her attempts to break free, and leaned down to whisper threateningly, "Let her go, and don't make me angry. You know the consequences if you don't."

As Katrina looked up at Carlisle, a chill ran through her. She clenched her fists, staring deeply at him.

Carlisle's patience was clearly running thin. Suddenly, he raised his hand.

Robert noticed the gesture and immediately signaled to the bodyguards, who began to move toward Teressa.

Katrina's heart skipped a beat as she realized what was happening. She glared at Carlisle. "If you have a problem, take it up with me. Don't drag anyone else into this."

Carlisle smirked, running his fingers through her hair. "If you don't listen, I'll have to resort to other methods. She's been with you for years, hasn't she? Do you really want to see her hurt?"
