Katrina's face turned pale as she struggled to maintain her composure.
"Didn't you say we were going home? Why did you bring me here?" Katrina asked, staring at Carlisle.
Carlisle glanced at her calmly and replied, "You've been in a bad mood lately. This place is quiet and perfect for you to rest. Just treat it as a change of scenery. I've already had the maids prepare everything. If you need anything, just let them know."
"Carlisle, are you trying to imprison me?" Katrina asked coldly.
Carlisle's expression darkened slightly. "Katrina, I just want you to calm down for a while. I have no intention of imprisoning you."
Katrina retorted almost immediately, "I'm perfectly rational right now. I don't need to calm down. If you don't have such intentions, then take me back."
A flicker of disappointment passed through Carlisle's eyes as he looked at Katrina's defiant expression, but he still spoke gently, "We're already here, and it's probably too late for you to have dinner. I asked the maids to prepare all your favorite dishes. Come in and eat with me. We can talk afterward."
No matter how sweetly he dressed up his words, it couldn't change his true intentions.
Katrina kept a cold face and didn't respond.
Carlisle looked away from her, then opened the door and stepped out of the car.
James and a few maids were already waiting outside. As soon as they saw him, they respectfully greeted, "Mr. Zachman."
Standing by the car, Carlisle looked down at Katrina inside and said coldly, "Bring Mrs. Zachman inside."
With that, he turned and walked into the villa, leaving Katrina no time to react. Moments later, two maids stepped forward, opened her car door, and firmly escorted her out.
