When she saw the person close by, she was slightly stunned and did not even know how to react.
After a brief distraction, she tried to get up but Xavier hugged her.
Arya did not want to be held by him, struggling in his arms, trying to pull herself free. Xavier held her even tighter. His hot face buried in the back of her neck, and he kissed her lightly with his lips, He said in a hoarse and gentle voice, "Don't move. Let me hug you for a while."
His voice was full of seduction, bewitching and comforting. It was as if time and everything had been put temporarily on hold. The heat and moisture of him went through her skin and made her heartbeat quicken, which made Arya forget to struggle. In the huge living room, it was his breath and his heartbeat.
Arya was confused and compromised.
After she met Xavier, she changed a lot and gave in a lot.
Now she was tired. She thought that as long as she worked hard, everything would go well, but on the contrary, everything was getting worse and worse.
But she couldn't control it.
Arya gradually softened and looked out of the window in a daze. She muttered, "Xavier, I'm tired. It's like I'm swimming desperately in the sea, but no matter how hard I try, I can't find the shore..."
"I know..."
"You don't know."
Arya slowly closed her eyes and sobbed, "I'm serious. I had given up."
It seemed that Xavier didn't hear her or understand what she meant.
He circled her waist with his arms and he stroked her bulging abdomen with his broad palm. He buried his warm lips behind her ears. "Tell me if you miss me."
Arya lied, "No."
Xavier bit her earlobe, "You're dishonest."
"I did not lie to you."
Arya continued to go against her true thoughts.
During this period of time, Time hung heavy for her. She was scared, and never had a moment of peace.
Now he was by her side, but she flinched.
Xavier caressed her abdomen, and said meaningfully, "They can't live without me."
He referred to the child in Arya's belly and Ryan.
So even if Arya wanted to give up, she couldn't leave.
"Xavier!"
Arya beat him out of control. Xavier did not move, like a strong and unbreakable mountain, and let Arya vent.
Arya yelled at him. "Why? Why do you treat me this way?"
She was resentful and angry, but she couldn't do anything.
"I am also a human being. I have feelings and I will also get hurt. But you never understand."
Xavier grabbed her hands, afraid that she would get too excited and hurt herself. Arya didn't even care about the child in her stomach, just wanted to pull herself free and stay away from him. Xavier grabbed her head and kissed her on red lips. He gave her a burning kiss, wanting to numb her.
The disparity in strength was so great that Arya could not push Xavier away at all and she could not even push him a little bit. In the silent air, she slowly softened and calmed down.
Xavier pressed his hand against her forehead. "Tell me, what do you want me to do to make you not so sad?"
What did she want him to do?
Arya smiled bitterly. What could he do? He wasn't there when it happened.
Arya leaned into his arms and closed her eyes wearily.
Xavier lowered his head and kissed her hair. He stroked her back and comforted her. "Everything will be over when you wake up from sleep."
Arya did not move or speak, because she knew that it wasn't over. There were obstacles in her heart.
The night was dark.
Arya's breathing unconsciously slowed down, perhaps because she was tired, or perhaps because she felt at ease for Xavier was by her side.
When Arya fell asleep, Xavier stretched out his arms around her waist to pick her up, and gently put her on the bed.
Xavier lay down beside her, hugged her, and kissed her...
Arya slept so soundly that it was almost noon when she woke up. All she could hear was Ryan's voice, chattering incessantly.
She got up and sat up. The room was empty and there was no sign of Xavier.
