Xavier knew that she was sad, and he could tolerate her emotions and indulge her sadness, but he couldn't tolerate her saying call it an end.
"Arya, say what you just said again!" It put a cloud over his face as if he was going to be furious.
Arya remained unmoved and allowed him to get angry, "Can you tolerate me missing someone else?"
Xavier was breathing stiffly. How could a living person compare to a dead person?
So what if missing someone else?
He took a long time to calm down and reached out to press her into his arms. "Stay at home and wait for our child to be born. Don't think too much."
Arya slowly closed her eyes.
No struggle, no response.
At this moment, the phone in Xavier's pocket rang. It was Jacob who called and said that he had caught Harriet.
Arya heard what Jacob said and looked up at Xavier, "I want to see her."
Xavier held the phone and looked down at her. Her eyes and nose were red after crying.
Xavier frowned and finally agreed.
If Arya could feel better, Xavier would let her see Harriet.
Xavier put his clothes on her and carried her out.
Jacob was downstairs and got out of the car to open the back door for them.
Xavier carried her into the seat. It was only two days. She seemed to have lost weight all of a sudden. She looked very weak, and the wind seemingly would blow her away.
Jacob looked back and said, "She's in the police station now..."
Harriet had been hiding in the Harrison Family for a long time. Today, she tried to escape the country but was found by Jacob's men. She had just been sent to the police station. The case still needed investigation and evidence collection, so she would be temporarily detained there.
Xavier asked Jacob to go over now as if he had thought of something and said, "I want to see her alone."
Jacob nodded and said, "I'll have someone arrange it."
Jacob dialed the phone and hung up after a few words.
Arya was not energetic. Xavier held her in his arms and she closed her eyes as if she was deep in thought and wanted to sleep.
Xavier knew that she didn't want to talk and gently rubbed her arm with his palm.
Not long after, Jacob parked the car at the entrance of the police station. Xavier pushed the door open and got down first. When he wanted to hug Arya, she dodged and walked down herself.
Xavier's hand stayed in the air for a moment and naturally retracted.
Jacob stood aside and pretended not to see anything, looking at the sky silently. Only when Arya came over did Jacob dare to speak and lead the way.
Jacob had already arranged it. There were almost no formalities and they could see Harriet directly.
Walking through the corridor, they stopped in a room behind.
"She's inside." Jacob said as he pushed the door open.
Xavier and Arya walked in, and Jacob stood guard at the door.
There was a white light bulb hanging from the roof of the room. There were no windows in the room with a seat on the right side. Harriet was sitting opposite the table with her hands cuffed. Because Xavier decided to see her alone, all the guards were not there.
When Harriet saw Xavier come in, she was a little excited. When she saw Arya coming, her expression completely changed.
Xavier's face was expressionless. He stroked Arya's waist and let her sit in the chair while he sat in the chair next to her, very close.
