Arya frowned, "What do you mean?"
Georgina intended to pass the evidence to Xavier through Arya. Therefore, even if Xavier didn't want to get the favor, he had to. But Arya was more difficult to handle than Georgina had expected.
Instead, it aroused her suspicion.
"Do you know what Xavier has been up to lately?" Since she couldn't trick her, Georgina simply changed her strategy.
Sure enough, when Arya heard about Xavier, she looked more serious.
"If you're interested, why don't we have a cup of tea together?" Georgina smiled.
Her meaning was obvious. If she wanted to know, she had to drink tea with Georgina.
Arya smiled more brightly than Georgina. "Miss Taylor, you're wrong. Xavier is my husband. How can I not know what he has been doing."
Arya posed a higher posture than hers, no matter what her purpose was or what she thought of Xavier.
She just wanted Georgina to know that it was impossible to provoke or manipulate her.
Georgina was speechless.
Her throat was dry and she didn't know what to say every time she opened her mouth.
Arya glanced at her calmly and called out to Nanny Joy, "Let's go."
Nanny Joy dragged her face. Did this woman know Mr. Jones?
Then why did she approach Arya on purpose?
Nanny Joy could not help but look back at Easton, who was holding the toy in his hand. He looked neither like Ryan nor Xavier. Then Nanny Joy quietly let out a sigh of relief.
She thought it was a mistress with a child who came to threaten the wife.
Fortunately, they didn't look alike.
Arya didn't stay at the supermarket, but came out without buying anything. She asked the driver and Nanny Joy to take Ryan home.
Nanny Joy was worried. "What about you?"
"I'll take a taxi. You guys go back first." Arya was just pretending to be indifferent. In fact, she really didn't know what Xavier was busy with recently.
So, she had to go to the company.
"Well, let the driver take you to the company and then take Ryan and me back." Nanny Joy suggested, worrying about her taking a taxi alone.
The driver echoed, "Although I'm the driver, I'm also responsible for your safety. Let me send you."
Arya had no choice but to agree.
Along the way, Arya never felt relaxed.
She kept guessing what Xavier had hidden from her.
The car stopped in front of the company. Arya pushed open the door and got out of the car. "You guys go back first."
The driver nodded and turned the car around.
Arya stood on the steps and watched the car disappear bit by bit before she turned around and walked into the company.
Arya took the elevator to the top floor. Once she was out, she could feel the tense working atmosphere. The offices of all departments were on this floor, where the senior staff took charge of the normal and orderly operation of every industry of the company.
"Hi, madam." A manager saw Arya in the corridor and greeted her.
Arya smiled back.
When she reached Xavier's office, Arya was about to open the door when the secretary stepped forward and said, "Xavier is not here."
Arya frowned slightly. "Where is he?"
"Well... I don't know. There is no record on the itinerary."
"Where's Jacob?" Arya asked.
"It seems that he's not here either." The secretary said uncertainly.
She didn't see Jacob today.
"I see. I'll wait in the office."
