"I'm Cullen's adjutant."
Xavier had already recognized it.
"Is miss by your side? Are you free to talk now?"
Xavier glanced at Arya in his arms. It was obvious that the adjutant didn't want Arya to hear their conversation. Xavier then pinned Arya's forehead hair behind her ear, "I'll take a call."
Arya didn't think too much about it and thought it was business.
Xavier walked out of the office and said to the phone, "Tell me what's the matter."
"The old chief is in the hospital now. His condition is not very good, but he doesn't want miss to get worried..."
Cullen was sick?
Xavier nodded slightly.
"The doctor said that the operation can be done, but it needs the signature of immediate family members, so miss will definitely know. So the old chief is very resistant to the operation, and even unwilling to receive the operation. I have no choice, so I can only turn to you."
Xavier asked which hospital it was.
"The affiliated hospital of the second military region of W City..."
"I see." Xavier hung up.
Cullen was sick, which was not a good thing for Xavier. Arya was about to give birth and it would definitely affect her mood if she knew this.
Cullen must have thought about it too, so he didn't let her know.
"Who is it?" Arya stood at the door and looked at the man who was lost in thought at the end of the corridor.
"My employee." Xavier put his phone in his pocket and walked over to put his arm around Arya's shoulders, "I'll take you back."
Arya turned to look at him, "Aren't you coming?"
Xavier didn't look at her and pretended to be calm. "I still have something to do."
Arya nodded and did not continue to ask.
Xavier grabbed her hand and walked into the elevator. He then pressed the button of the elevator to the first floor. After a few minutes, they arrived at the lobby. The door of the elevator was slowly slid open. Arya followed Xavier as he was about to get out of the elevator. They bumped into Orlando, who was getting into the elevator.
Arya didn't manage things in the company anymore. Orlando was in charge of a lot of things, and when it came to something he couldn't decide, Xavier would take it over.
Orlando's eyes lit up when he saw Arya, "I haven't seen you for a while."
As he spoke, his eyes fell on her abdomen.
Arya smiled and said, "Yeah." Since Xavier came back, she had never asked anything.
Seeing the document in Orlando's hand, she asked, "Is it about work?"
Orlando shrugged his shoulders and waved the document in front of Arya, "You have dumped the work away, so I have to do more work..."
Orlando smiled. It was just a joke.
Arya naturally knew that it was joking. She had known Orlando for a long time. She looked at Xavier and said, "I'm leaving now to set the stage for you two to have a word. Ask the driver to send me back."
Arya thought Xavier wanted to talk to Orlando for work, so she decided to leave first.
Xavier walked down with her in his arms, "There is no need."
Arya felt this would be improper, so her lips curled up slightly. "I'm an adult. Can't I take care of myself?" Her smile was very gentle and warm.
As she spoke, she looked at Orlando and smiled, "I know you're tired. I'll treat you to dinner when I'm available."
Orlando looked at Arya for a long time. She had changed now.
Her whole body was emitting a soft radiance, especially when she smiled. The corners of her eyes and brows all looked radiant. It could be seen that she was living a good life now.
"What are you looking at?" Xavier's cold voice pulled Orlando back from a daze.
Orlando regained his senses and coughed lightly to cover up his rudeness.
