"Come in," Xavier said.
Nanny Joy walked in with a bowl of soup in her hand.
Arya looked at Nanny Joy and asked, "Where's Ryan?"
Nanny Joy answered, "Ryan is with Mrs. Jones."
In fact, this soup was cooked by Daisy.
Nanny Joy handed the bowl to Xavier and picked up the clothes that Arya had taken off.
Nanny Joy said, "I'll take the clothes back and wash them. Put the dishes on the table later. When I bring the clothes tomorrow, I'll pack them back."
Xavier carried the bowl to the bed and sat down. He scooped up a spoonful of soup and blew gently before passing it to Arya's lips. "Open your mouth."
Arya enjoyed Xavier's "service". She opened her mouth and drank the soup.
The soup was stewed with big bones. The white soup had no ingredients in it, so it was light and tasty without the oil, but it was also greasy if she drank too much. After drinking half a bowl, Arya frowned, "I don't want to drink anymore."
"Hmm? Does it taste terrible?" Xavier asked.
As he spoke, he had a taste and his expression changed slightly. Because he was familiar with the taste of Daisy's cooking, he immediately knew that it was her who cooked the soup.
"Don't waste it, anyway."
Xavier looked at Arya, his lips twitching slightly, but he didn't say anything in the end.
She was not fit to think too much.
But in Arya's eyes, all of this meant something else. "You're disgusted that this is the soup I've had."
If it was someone else's, Xavier would probably feel disgusted even if he saw it.
Disgust?
He even touched her mouth when kissing, so why would he despise a spoon that she had used? Wasn't that nonsense?
Xavier scooped up the soup and put the whole spoon into his mouth. It was the same spoon that Arya had just used. Xavier looked at her with charming eyes. "And a spoon with your scent on it."
Arya blushed instantly.
How could she forget that Xavier was a cheeky man?
"Janet will send the things later." Arya deliberately changed the subject, afraid that Xavier would say something shameless again.
Xavier suddenly became serious.
Jacob had made new progress in the past two days. The timing was perfect and he was ready to make his move in the next two days. But time was running out, as Arya's due date was fast approaching.
Xavier carried Arya into the bathroom to help her wash up. Arya put her arms around his neck and thought for a while. "Let's go home when the baby is born."
Xavier paused and looked at Arya in surprise. "You..."
"The baby needs to live in a normal family."
She knew that as long as she was with Xavier, she needed to communicate with the people at the Old Residence to ease their relationship.
Xavier was in a difficult position.
