"I never work with people I don't trust. I arranged for them to join the WS Group to help you. I think this is a sign that I trust you more." He took a deep puff.
Arya had no choice but to agree.
"You two, please take him away." Arya turned around and walked out the door.
The two bodyguards glanced at Liam. After getting his agreement, they left the room with Rufus tied up.
Outside the door, Jacob saw Arya coming out. Just as he was about to speak, he saw Liam's bodyguard coming out with Rufus.
He shut up.
Arya said faintly, "Let's go."
They walked through the hall and attracted a lot of attention.
What was even more striking was that Rufus was being tied up. He was a prominent figure in W City before. After the Gates Family collapsed, he had become a wanted criminal. It was claimed that he had escaped abroad. How could he still be in the country?
No matter how many questions they had, no one was destined to answer them.
After all, the enmity between the rich and powerful was too complicated for ordinary people to understand.
Walking out of the restaurant, the bodyguards took Rufus to the car behind Jacob's. Jacob drove the car, and Arya sat in the back seat.
After holding back for a long time, Jacob could finally ask, "Where did those two people come from?"
Arya said, "They're Liam's underlings. He stationed them in our company."
Jacob's lips twitched, "What?"
There were all kinds of people.
Arya closed her eyes. All she could do was wait.
When Liam took the goods from the company, she could figure out their route and get rid of the two of them.
Now the situation is not clear, she could only let the two of them stay in the WS Group and keep them safe.
Now they were Liam's eyes.
"In the future, we have to be careful when we talk in the company," Arya said.
Jacob nodded, "I know."
The car stopped at a deserted place.
Jacob glanced at Arya, "You just stay in the car."
Arya leaned against the window and did not move or respond, but Jacob knew she heard what he had said.
The car behind them had also stopped and Jacob walked over.
He let them throw Rufus down.
Before sending him to the police station, Jacob planned to get even with him.
Rufus was tied so tightly that his hands and feet could not move at all.
He wanted to speak, but her mouth was sealed.
Jacob didn't want to hear him at all, because he didn't have to. He and Arya knew exactly what was going on.
Jacob grabbed his collar and lifted him from the ground. Without a word, he punched him in the face.
The four special "bodyguards" stood by and watched.
After a few punches in a row, Jacob stopped. Rufus's face was already covered in blood. His eyes were extremely vicious. This feeling of being at the mercy of others was too bad.
He'd rather be shot in the head.
Jacob squatted on the ground, put one hand on his leg, and stared at him, "Rufus, you have never thought things would become like this, right?"
Rufus could not speak, nor did he want to look at Jacob's smug expression. He simply closed his eyes and did not look at him.
Jacob sneered, "I will definitely make you pay for what you did today."
As he spoke, he stood up.
He stepped back to the car and looked at the four "bodyguards", "It's time for you to perform. Just don't beat him to death."
The police "bodyguard" glanced at Rufus on the ground and then at Jacob, "We can just send him straight to the police station. If we result in his death..."
