Arya shook her head.
Bridget was confused. "Did she ask you to name the child?"
Arya looked at the child. "I haven't decided yet. After all, the name will be with the child for the rest of his life."
Arya was looking for someone to name the child. She was not good at it, and she didn't know if there were any rules or taboos about names.
"Sister-in-law, how about Max?" Bridget blurted out.
"It sounds great." Bridget looked up at Arya and even pleaded, "Is that okay?"
Arya looked at Bridget quietly for a few seconds and finally nodded. "But Bridget, I think of him as my own child. I hope you can also treat him the way you treat Ryan and Ramona."
"Of course, sister-in-law. Jasper and I were not getting along well, that's right. But he's gone, and I absolutely won't take it out on the child."
Arya didn't mean anything else. She just didn't want the child to suffer.
"Bridget, don't think too much. I don't mean anything else. After all, he lost his father..." And his biological mother...
Arya didn't want the child to suffer any grievances.
Bridget lowered her head and teased Max. "Max, do you like this name?"
At this moment, Bridget looked like a kind mother.
Perhaps it was because she was pregnant once.
Thinking of her and Jacob, Arya's mood became complicated.
"Bridget, did you hear us talking in the study that day?"
"When? What did you say?" Bridget asked, pretending to be confused.
Bridget was obviously unwilling to say it.
Arya sighed. "Marriage is no joke. You have to think it through yourself."
It would be too hasty to make such a decision because of some external factors.
"Don't worry, sister-in-law. Jacob is not married. I'm single. We've thought it through. Don't worry about it."
Since Bridget had said so, Arya couldn't say more.
"Mommy." Ryan hopped over and saw Bridget holding the baby in her arms. He looked up and said, "Aunt, who is he?"
Bridget looked at Ryan and rubbed his hair. "From now on, he will be your younger brother."
Ryan seemed to have heard something incredible, and turned to look at Arya to seek confirmation.
Arya put Ryan on her lap and told him seriously, "Yeah. You are the eldest brother. You have to take good care of your siblings. Can you do it?"
Ryan nodded vigorously. "Of course."
He behaved so confidently.
Arya lowered her head and kissed his hair. "Ryan has grown up."
Arya didn't notice anything on Ryan's neck before, but now she saw a piece of red jade in his collar.
She took it out and asked. "Why haven't I seen it before?"
"Grandma gave it to me. Little sister got one too." Ryan looked up. "Mommy, don't you know?"
She... didn't know. She didn't pay attention.
It was the first time she had seen it.
"Time for dinner." Nanny Joy stood at the door and called them.
