Arya lowered her eyes and smiled, "You asked Jacob to go to the Old Residence. Have you forgotten?"
Xavier buried his face in her breast and said gloomily, "I have forgotten."
Arya chuckled.
At this moment, the phone stopped ringing. Xavier had just breathed a sigh of relief when it rang again.
Xavier was completely stiff. Arya reached into his pocket and picked up the phone.
It was Bridget. "When are you coming back?"
The first call was from Daisy, but no one answered. Daisy put down the phone. Bridget couldn't wait to see Xavier, so she called again.
"We will be back soon."
"The dinner is ready. We're waiting for you."
Arya looked down at Xavier and said, "I see."
Xavier got up and propped himself up above her. He buttoned her clothes very seriously.
Arya put her phone back in his pocket. When Xavier finished buttoning her clothes, she got up and sorted out her coat, "Let's go quickly."
It was inappropriate to let the whole family wait for them. She left the house with Xavier and got into the car to go back to the Old Residence.
There was no expression on Xavier's face. It was hard to tell what he was thinking. Arya leaned against him and touched her wrinkled collar. She reached out and smoothed it down.
Xavier grabbed her hand and placed it on his thigh, holding it tightly to prevent her from moving.
He wasn't kidding when he said he missed her. Now her casual movement would stir up his sexual desire.
Arya didn't know what was going on. She thought that he was in a bad mood because he didn't get satisfied with his sexual needs, so he quietly let him hold her hand.
Soon they returned to the Old Residence.
The whole family was waiting for them. As soon as Xavier and Arya entered, Bridget ran over and stared straight at Xavier, tears rolling in her eyes.
"Xavier..."
Xavier put his arm around her shoulder and walked into the room, "You are an adult. Do you want to cry in front of me?"
Bridget wiped her face and pretended not to care, "You're standing in front of me alive. Why should I cry?"
Today, Daisy was very happy and asked the cooker to make a lot of dishes.
Before eating, Mr. Jones asked Nanny May to get a bottle of liquor. He was in a good mood today and wanted to have a drink with Xavier and Jacob.
Jacob and Bridget sat together, Arya and Xavier sat under Mr. Jones, and Mr. Jones was beside Daisy.
Bridget stood up, "I'll pour you some wine."
Bridget took the bottle, lifted the cap, and poured it into Mr. Jones's glass. Mr. Jones took the glass to one side and said, "Pour it for your sister-in-law."
He didn't give Xavier or Jacob the first cup, but to Arya.
Arya stood up from her seat. She was a little flattered, "I'll pour it for you."
Mr. Jones waved his hand and looked serious, "You know Officer YANG, right?"
Although it was a question, it was in an affirmative tone.
Arya was stunned. How did he know?
Mr. Jones explained to Arya, "I used to be his instructor, and to some degree, I was his teacher. Although he transferred out of the army later, we are still on good terms."
Arya's face turned grim. In other words, he knew what she and Officer YANG had done together.
"Pour wine for your sister-in-law." Mr. Jones ordered Bridget.
Bridget walked over to Arya and poured half a glass of liquor into her glass and then for Mr. Jones as well.
Mr. Jones took the cup first, "Thank you."
After that, he drank it in one gulp.
It turned out that he knew everything, but pretended not to know anything. He must have done a lot behind the scenes because things went so smoothly.
Arya couldn't say anything and felt her throat tighten. She had always thought that she was fighting alone, but she didn't expect...
She looked at Mr. Jones, "Dad, thank you too."
While indulging her, he also helped her to fulfill her wishes.
Daisy was relieved.
