"Do you know why Janet gave me the child instead of giving the Clintons?"
Xavier rolled over, his arms around her back, and his palm against her arm. He knew that Janet wanted her child to grow up in a good environment.
However, she took advantage of Arya's kindness and the friendship between Arya and Jasper.
This made Xavier very unhappy.
He didn't hide it from Arya and told her what he heard, "Whatever you want to do, I'll support you."
Arya did not expect Janet to give her the child just for the child's future.
If it was her, she wouldn't be willing to give her own child to someone else.
Arya leaned against his chest, "I understand why Janet kept it from the Clintons. If the two old people knew, they wouldn't want to give me the child. They're old and don't have the energy to take care of the child... In fact, even if she didn't give me the child, I will never refuse if she needs my help in the future. Now I'm very passive."
"Have you ever thought that this child might be the spiritual sustenance of the two old people of the Clintons?" Xavier lowered his eyes and looked at Arya. "I can give that child whatever he wants. I will support you if you want to keep him by your side, but I don't want you to decide his life. It's not good for anyone if there's any misunderstanding when he grows up in the future."
Arya was ambivalent, "I'll go see her tomorrow. We'll make things clear in person. If she still thinks that it's the best choice to let me raise the child, then I'll raise him. But we have to let the two old people in the Clintons know and let them hold out hope."
Xavier lowered his head and kissed her forehead. It was best to tell everything clearly now. If the child grew up and heard any rumors, he would have complaints in his heart.
When she thought it over, she was so tired that she closed her eyes.
Xavier kissed her from the corner of her eyes and brows. Arya pushed him. "I'm sleepy."
"OK." Xavier rubbed her lips and didn't mean to leave at all. "Arya, why don't you call me husband?"
