Jacob put a box on the ground and walked over to see her.
"What's wrong?" Jacob came up to see if she was hurt, but Bridget pushed him away. Jacob didn't expect that and leaned back to the ground. After a moment of astonishment, he smiled and said, "You are so strong. It seems you didn't get hurt."
Bridget glared at him as if she was about to devour him.
Seeing Bridget so angry, Jacob smiled, "Are you really hurt?"
Bridget ignored him and got up. Only when she raised her leg did she realize that it felt sore and painful.
Jacob got up to help her up and sighed slightly, "Why did I have a contest with your brother? I should have given up early."
Bridget blinked. What did this have to do with her brother?
"Jacob, what do you mean?" Bridget asked in confusion.
Jacob could still remember what Xavier looked like at that time. Every time he thought of Xavier when he said that Bridget couldn't dance, he would have a stomachache.
"You don't know anything about men. You don't need to learn dancing tomorrow. Just give up." Jacob helped her sit on the sofa.
Bridget was angry this time because she felt that Jacob looked down on her.
It was just dancing!
She used to run five kilometers with a heavy load during military training. She could survive in that training.
Why couldn't she learn to dance?
"Why should I give up? I've paid my tuition." Bridget raised her head, determined not to admit defeat.
Jacob didn't know what to say.
"Which part do you hurt? Let me see." Jacob was more concerned about her injury.
Bridget just wanted to say that her back ached when she paused.
But she think this part was sensitive.
She gasped and didn't say anything. When she saw Jacob's box at the door, she took the opportunity to change the subject and asked, "What did you bring back?"
Jacob turned around and remembered what he had bought, saying "You can tell by looking at it."
Jacob walked over, picked up the box, and put it in front of Bridget. "Open it and take a look."
Bridget was slightly stunned. Was this for her?
Jacob squatted in front of her. He looked a little expectant and said again, "Open it and take a look."
Bridget pointed to herself and asked, "For me?"
Jacob nodded several times.
Bridget was a little surprised that Jacob would buy something for her. She muttered to herself and reached out to open the box.
When the box was opened, there was an iron cage inside. Bridget could not see what kind of animal it was. It was a living thing anyway.
She looked up at Jacob and said, "What is this?"
"You'll know when you take it out."
Bridget reached out and took out the cage. Inside was a little brown Teddy dog. It was covered in brown curly hair. Its eyes were big, and its head was round. It was extremely cute.
"Wow, so cute." Bridget took it out of the cage and put it in her arms. It was so fluffy that she was in a good mood to strike it.
"Like it?" Jacob looked at her.
Bridget looked at Jacob squatting on the ground and suddenly laughed.
Somehow, she connected Teddy in her arms to him.
Jacob frowned. Although he didn't know what she was thinking, her expression told him that she was thinking something funny.
He stood up with a serious face, saying, "Have you eaten yet?"
Bridget stopped but wanted to laugh again. Finally, she held back and shook her head.
