Jacob lowered his eyes and glanced at her hand holding his clothes. His face slightly darkened. Just as he was about to speak, the woman was suddenly pushed out. Because the woman was wearing high heels and she was pushed off guard, she fell to the ground.
The woman was not wearing many clothes. The fall made her elbows and knees skinned and she lay on the ground in a mess.
Bridget stood in front of the woman angrily and pointed at her condescendingly. "Don't you dare touch him again?"
Bridget's movements were so sudden that no one could catch on.
The woman bared her teeth in pain and cried when she saw that her elbows and knees were bleeding. "Ouch, my legs are bleeding."
When the man caught on, he was angry and looked a little ferocious, "How dare you touch my woman!"
The man was about to hit Bridget, but Bridget was not afraid and stood still.
She had been trained in the army.
She could fight him even if her back hurt. However, before the man could touch Bridget, Jacob grabbed his wrist and said in a cold voice, "You shouldn't hit a woman."
The man bared his teeth. "She hit my woman first."
Jacob sneered, and said in a deep and domineering tone, "No matter what, you can't hit my woman!"
Two men were confronting each other.
The woman struggled to her feet. Her legs hurt, so she bent her knees, staring at Bridget. "You pushed me just now?"
Bridget looked up and couldn't stand the woman's coquettish look. She did such shameless things in the car just now, and she even touched Jacob with her dirty hands. Of course, Bridget had to push her.
"It's me."
Before Bridget could finish speaking, the woman raised her hand and was about to hit Bridget. Before her hand fell, she was grabbed by Bridget, who put one hand on her elbow and pushed her arm back. The woman screamed in pain. Bridget said coldly. "Shut up!"
"It hurts, it hurts!" The woman's face was twisted with pain. "Let go of me."
"Let go of you? Let me ask you, is 2,000 dollars enough?" Bridget asked in an interrogative tone with a solemn face, as if this woman was a gangster.
The woman did not speak. Bridget pressed her elbow against her shoulder blade and said, "You don't think it's enough, right?"
The woman's pain got worse and she kept saying, "Enough!"
The two men were stunned. They looked at each other and hurried over. Jacob stopped Bridget. Why was she so violent?
The woman was so aggrieved that she grabbed the man and shouted, "She hit me. Help me hit her!"
The man looked at Bridget, who looked like a good fighter.
"We've told you we're gonna pay for it. Why are you messing around?" Bridget pointed at the woman.
The woman trembled in fear and hid behind the man.
The man looked at Bridget. "You hurt my woman. You have to pay an extra thousand dollars for the medical expenses!"
"You!"
Bridget wanted to say something, but Jacob stopped her. "You did something wrong, too."
"But-"
"But what?" Jacob looked at her as if asking why she was so angry just now.
Bridget quickly lowered her head, not daring to look at Jacob.
She was guilty.
As for what she felt guilty about, even she herself did not know.
Anyway, she couldn't bear to see the woman touching Jacob.
They gave them three thousand dollars in total to settle the matter. Then the two got into the car.
Jacob started the car, and Bridget felt that she was too impulsive. She subconsciously lowered her voice. "Where did you go just now?"
Jacob pouted and showed her the medicine on the console.
"Why did you buy medicine? Are you sick?" Bridget looked at him and asked.
Jacob really was speechless.
"It's a good thing you have a pain in your back. Otherwise, how fierce would you be?"
