Everything just now seemed like a dream to Bridget. She sat on the bed and stroked her lips that Jacob kissed.
Did he kiss her?
Bridget patted her head hard. She thought it was a dream, but the warm and unfamiliar breath seemed to linger, reminding her that it was not a dream. Jacob did kiss her.
In the living room, Jacob sat on the sofa with his arms on his lap. He didn't know why he kissed her.
At that moment, he didn't think about anything but just wanted to do it.
Even though it was somewhat awkward, he did not regret it.
He kept thinking about how to resolve the awkward atmosphere. Just then, the door of the bedroom opened, and Bridget came out dressed up. She looked elsewhere as she said to Jacob, "I'm going out."
"Where are you going so late? You don't have any friends." Jacob stood up from the sofa.
"I'm meeting my sister-in-law." Bridget walked to the entrance to change her shoes. Jacob opened his mouth and said nothing.
Closing the door, Bridget took the elevator to the roadside downstairs to wait for Arya.
It was a little late, and it was not easy to take a taxi, so Arya said to pick her up.
Bridget gathered her clothes and stood by the roadside for a while before Arya drove over.
The car stopped, and the window rolled down. When Bridget confirmed that it was indeed Arya, she opened the door and got in the car.
Arya didn't drive the car away immediately. Instead, she asked, "Did you fight with Jacob? Why did you go out in the middle of the night?"
Bridget lowered her head. "No."
She felt so embarrassed at home that she wanted to get some air, but she didn't have any friends to talk to, so she called Arya.
Arya looked at her for two seconds and asked, "Where do you want to go?"
It was late at night.
