Chapter 151
Chapter 151
Evelyn’s smile froze as the thought crossed her mind. “L… don’t know either. But Ms. Torrey is an adult. She wouldn’t just disappear suddenly, right?”
Seeing that Evelyn had no idea where Ariana was, Brian sighed. “It’s late. I’ll have the driver take you home.”
“Brian!” Evelyn hesitated, seeing how eager Brian was to leave. “Are you… worried about Ms. Torrey?
“She is still my fiancée and is part of the Lodge family. If something happens to her, I wouldn’t know how to explain it to my grandmother.” With that, Brian got into his car without another word.
Evelyn’s expression turned unpleasant.
Was that really the reason? Or could it be… that he started to care for Ariana?
Evelyn didn’t voice her thoughts.
In any case, she needed to figure out a way to ensure Brian wouldn’t fall for Ariana.
Remembering Ariana was with Victor earlier, Evelyn couldn’t help but take out her phone and call Victor.
The call was quickly answered, but the voice on the other end wasn’t Victor’s. It was his assistant, Hunter.
“Ms. Granger, how may I help you?” Hunter asked.
Evelyn was irritated that Victor had only given her his assistant’s number. She swallowed her displeasure and said, “Is Mr. Smith still with Ms. Torrey?”
“Ms. Torrey has already gone back,” Hunter answered.
“I see…” Evelyn hummed thoughtfully. “I heard she was missing and assumed she was with you. But she should be fine. I’ll be hanging up now.”
After hanging up, Evelyn’s thoughts churned.
Meanwhile, Victor and Hunter had just returned to Gleason Grand Hotel
Hunter walked over to Victor. “Mr. Smith, Ms. Granger called and said Ms. Torrey is missing.
“Missing?” Victor frowned.
“Should we send people to look for her?” Hunter asked.
“Pull up the restaurant’s surveillance footage and find out where Ariana went after leaving,” Victor ordered.
“Understood.” Hunter nodded.
Victor and Hunter immediately turned back toward the restaurant.
At the same time, behind the university, Igor had driven his sports car to the back of Gleason University with
Ariana.
The area was deserted, especially at night, making it eerily quiet.
When Ariana opened her eyes, she found herself being roughly thrown to the ground.
Igor stood over her and slapped her.
The slap echoed, and one of Igor’s friends was captivated by Ariana’s look.
