Ariana glanced at Gwen. “Ms. Lambert, what does his birthday have to do with me? If he has broken the law, don’t expect me to show any mercy.” 

“Ari!” Gwen quickly grabbed Ariana’s hand. “Let’s talk this through… There’s no need to get so angry. Igor was in the wrong, and I’ll apologize on his behalf. Or… Wait! I have a few pieces of jewelry I’ve been meaning to give you…. 

Seeing that Gwen was trying to buy her off, Ariana quirked a brow curiously.

Gwen grew awkward at the accusation. “Well… Those were originally left with me for safekeeping, to give to you once you grew up. But as time went on, I forgot. Since you brought it up now, I’ll give them all back to you.” 

“Ms. Lambert, those pieces were mine to begin with.” Ariana paused and then added, “But I’ve also taken a liking to my brother’s sports car. If I recall, it’s worth over three million dollars, right?” 

Gwen’s eyes twitched at Ariana’s audacity. That sports car was a limited edition. Igor had begged her relentlessly before she finally agreed to buy it. Now, Ariana was demanding something worth over three million! 

Thinking about the mess Igor had created, Gwen could only grit her teeth and endure it. “Fine, I’ll take care of the car for you tomorrow.” 

“Thank you, Ms. Lambert.” Ariana smiled. 

Ariana knew how much money Gwen had left. After spending 12 million dollars on the venue and other expenses for the upcoming birthday celebration, plus another three million dollars for the car, Gwen wouldn’t have much left to work with. 

Her smile widened at the thought. “Now, why don’t we go and look at the jewelry?” 

“Sure…” Gwen forced a smile. 

She led Ariana upstairs and carefully retrieved a box from the safe. Inside was a collection of exquisite jewelry.
