Chapter 193
“Holy crap, are you serious?” Selena stared at Ariana in disbelief.
How much courage did it take for Arlana to dress like that for school?
“Ari, I swear, if you weren’t Brian’s fiancée, the security guard would’ve stopped you at the gate!”
“Really? I think it’s fine.” Ariana glanced at herself in the mirror.
Selena couldn’t help but exclaim, “You look like… one of those delinquents in TV dramas–the ones going through their rebellious phase and heading straight to juvenile detention.”
“Don’t worry about it. This is the only way I can think of to make Brian hate me.”
“And? Does he hate you now?”
“Kind of…” Thinking back to Brian’s reaction earlier that morning, Ariana felt it wasn’t quite there yet.
She had already tried many tricks, but Brian remained indifferent toward her. He did not quite hate her, neither did he like her too.
but
Ariana hesitated. “Why can’t he just hate me? He used to hate me with a passion.”
“That’s because you used to follow him around like a shadow. That’s why he didn’t like you,” Selena pointed out. Ariana froze for a moment. “So, you’re saying Brian will keep hating me if I continue to follow him around?”
“I think it could work!” Selena nodded enthusiastically.
Ariana thought it might work, too, but she just couldn’t bring herself to become Brian’s lapdog. This went to show that only bootlickers themselves would never see themselves as such.
She simply couldn’t force herself to fawn over Brian.
“By the way, Mr. Kingston said he wanted to see you yesterday.
“William Kingston? Why does he want to see me all of a sudden?”
Selena shook her head furiously. “No idea.”
Someone like William was completely out of reach for regular students. Only Ariana could interact with him.
“Alright, I’ll go check it out.”
Seeing Ariana stand up immediately, Selena quickly said, “Class is starting soon! Where are you going?”
“To see Mr. Kingston!” Ariana gave a perfectly reasonable answer.
By this time, the Glea College campus was already bustling with people.
“Do you think Brennan will really show up?”
“Of course! It’s an inside scoop! Nobody else knows!”
“Oh my God, I never thought I’d see the Best Actor in real life one day.”
Brennan had spent the past few years focusing on his career abroad, but even before that, he was already a household name in the country.
