Chapter 278
The elevator doors slid open. Emily thoughtfully kept Evelyn in the elevator, not forgetting to help Evelyn press the button to the underground parking.
Emily said, “Ms. Granger, we parked our car on the first floor. I’m afraid you’ll have to get to your car alone.”
Evelyn felt the pain shooting through her heart after Brian rejected her. In the past, he was accommodating and sweet. This was the first time he had kicked her out.
She felt oddly threatened. Such was a woman’s sixth sense it might not make much sense at the moment.
She had a feeling that Brian must have had a crush on someone else.
After Brian got into his car, Emily reported to him, “Ms. Granger should have left by now,”
“Start an investigation into the company. I want to know who leaked my schedule to Evelyn.”
“Only those from the Administrative Department are privy to your schedule. I will look into it right now and nab the culprit.”

Startled by the sudden voice, Ariana quickly raised her head Sure enough, she saw Victor standing in the room, though she hadn’t noticed when he had come in.
Noticing it was already 9:00 pm, Brian placed a cup in front of Ariana. 1
Ariana looked at the dark reddish liquid in the cup with some reluctance. “What’s this? I don’t drink at night.”
“It’s plum juice.”
“Plum juice?” Ariana asked suspiciously while looking at Victor. “Why are you giving me this?”
“If you keep skipping meals at night, it’ll hurt your stomach over time. You’ve maintained this habit for years, so it’s hard to change. Drinking plum juice will help strengthen your stomach. Eventually, you’ll start to feel hungry at night.”
“That amazing, huh?”
Ariana glanced at the drink, and just the sour smell made her cringe. Finally, she closed her eyes and downed it in
one go.
The plum juice tasted sweet and sour, with additional flavors she couldn’t quite point out. Overall, it had a weird
