Chapter 363
Everyone seemed to view Ariana as their enemy.
“I will distribute the papers now, and the exam starts in five minutes. Please follow the rules,” the proctor sounded stern
Since Brian had instructed not to provide a special exam hall for Ariana, she had no choice but to sit for the exam in the common hall, writing with her left hand.
After applying the medicine Victor gave her yesterday, her Hand felt more relaxed and faster than before. It was no longer sore.
Ariana did not once look up during the exam, while the other students looked troubled. They heard that the exam questions had been changed. At first, they thought the exams had been made easier, only to find out it was the opposite.
Most students had no idea where to start. Only a few seemed to breeze through the exam. Even Evelyn in the back row started to look distressed.
These questions were hard to interpret. Textbook knowledge was of no use. What helped was real–life experience.
Besides, many questions required students to write their own interpretation, which increased the difficulty of the
exam.
The topics varied and did not follow any past patterns in order to test the exam takers in all areas.
It took Evelyn a long time to start, and her journey after wasn’t smooth sailing at all.
“Look at Ariana! Why is she furiously scribbling away?”
A member of the student union stared at Ariana, who was in the front row, in disbelief.
The question interrupted Evelyn’s train of thought. She looked in Ariana’s direction, and sure enough, that girl was writing furiously.
This was impossible. The exam questions were very different, and their textbooks provided no reference.
Taking this exam felt like walking blindfolded. So, why did Ariana look like she knew the answers?
Did Ariana really get the answers through unusual means? Something was off.
Time ticked past. It was about time to turn in their exam papers, but Evelyn still had many unanswered questions on her sheet, including two questions worth a chunk of points at the end of the exam.
She glanced at Ariana. Ariana had already put down her pen but she didn’t look clueless at all. She appeared to be checking her answers because she had completed the exam ahead of time.
The students finally turned in their papers when the proctor said their time
was up.
Ariana limped all the way and handed her papers to the proctor with much difficulty. The proctor took a quick glance at the sheet and was surprised to see it filled with writing.
The proctor started to read Ariana’s answers more seriously, and for a moment, she lost track of time.
