“Hahaha. It's over. I told you, didn't I? Chu Tianfan is nothing but a maggot when compared to my dad. All it took was three moves to end this battle. Killing that guy is as simple as slaughtering a pig.”
Chu Qitian's boisterous laughs filled the entire hall when he saw the blood on the edge of the summit.
He continued proudly with his hands behind his back, “So, what do you think, Angie? I told you that b*stard is nothing but an arrogant weakling who didn't know better and is embarrassing himself. You didn't trust me earlier, but do you see the truth now?”
Given the arrogance he showed, a stranger would have thought that he was the general of an army that had just won an impossible battle and was boasting about his accomplishments.
“Shut up! That is not true. Ye Fan is not dead. He can't be...”
Angie's tears rolled down her cheeks as she ran toward the location of the rubble.
It seemed she was trying to rescue Ye Fan.
“Get back here, Angie. Stop making a scene!”
Bill was surprised and angry when he saw what was happening, so he had his men stop his daughter right away.
“Let me go. Let me go right now!”
Angie struggled endlessly.
The situation was impossible, and Bill had no choice but to slap her across the face.
“You stupid girl, how long are you going to misbehave? Are you trying to destroy the entire family?”
He was so angry and surprised that his emotions were beyond words.
It was a joyous occasion, and Angie, despite being the bride, was showing everyone how much she loved another man.
As her father, Bill was undoubtedly embarrassed and troubled.
He didn't even know how to deal with the aftermath.
It's obvious Ye Fan has lost the battle. Yet, my daughter is still siding with that b *stard and remains in love with him! No, I cannot let her throw her life away like this.
After slapping Angie, Bill had his men take her away and keep an eye on her.
On the other side, the Sword God, Mochizuki Kawa, of Japan took the initiative to congratulate Chu Zhengliangon his victory.
“You truly are something else, Mr. Chu. I, Mochizuki Kawa, would like to congratulate you on behalf of all of Japan. The way you killed the b*stard and threw out that trash was absolutely commendable.”
The warriors from Australia, Korea, and all other countries quickly joined in when they saw the Japanese buttering Chu Zhengliang up.
“Congratulations, Mr. Chu, on that incredible win.”
“Thank you for destroying a pest in the martial arts world.”
“He's right. Mr. Chu, your power is amazing, and I think it's only a matter of time before you lead the Chu family to the very top.”
“Well, then allow me to congratulate Mr. Chu in advance.”
“Hahaha!”
All that was heard was a bunch of kind words and formal congratulations.
Everyone had decided the battle was over after the third move.
The last attack, the Green Celestial Dragon, was particularly devastating and seemed to have crushed Ye Fan.
Even if, by some miracle, he had survived, he would still be gravely wounded.
It was only natural that everyone congratulated Chu Zhengliang.
Xiao Chen wasn't surprised to see how things ended, but he felt that was a waste.
“It's too bad. He has such great potential, and now it's gone with him... If only he could somehow transfer his power and potential to someone else,” murmured the Sword Saint while shaking his head.
Tang Hao, who was standing at the side, was sighing in pity as well.
Perhaps Heaven really needed to collect a gifted soul like his. It's too bad Ye Fan was too impulsive for his own good.
Chu Zhengliang kept his hand behind his back as he accepted everybody's praises. Arrogance and pride were written all over his face.
He stood there and turned to his guests before calmly saying, “A b*stard is not a worthy opponent. I feel so bad. This wedding is supposed to be a happy occasion, but my family's issue has disrupted it. I'm sure it was such a killjoy. For that, I shall down a shot as an apology.”
After saying all that, Chu Zhengliang waved. A glass with a shot of alcohol moved as though it had a mind of its own and flew right into his hand.
He drank the shot in one go.
