After getting the response, Leigh roughly pushes Chase away, picks up Jessie with a grim expression, and strides out.
The servant is frightened and asks in a trembling voice, "S ... sir, what's going on?"
Chace gets up from the floor, hurriedly catches up to Leigh and grabs him when he is about to walk out of the door. "Leigh, even if she's the person you've been looking for, look at how weak she is now."
"Let go!" Leigh glances at him.
"Put her down first. Let's talk." Chace has been with Jessie for so long. As she smiles more, he has developed feelings for her.
Leigh is now furious. Chace is afraid that Jessie will suffer if she goes with him.
His heart aches.
"I told you to let go!" Leigh shouts angrily with a sinister look in his eyes. "Don't make me hit you."
Chace grabs Leigh and refuses to let him go. He insists that he let her stay. "Leigh, listen to me. She isn't in the right state to go with you right now, or you can let her decide for herself."
When Leigh sees how stubborn Chace is, he flares up and kicks Chace.
The latter is sent flying away.
Chace smashes his body against the wall and coughs in pain.
Leigh doesn't even look at him as he strides out with the woman in his arms. Shortly after, a loud rumble comes from outside.
The helicopter takes off again.
Chace struggles for a long time to get up, but he can't. Lying there, he rubs the place where he has been kicked, and gasps. "That asshole was too ruthless...."
Damn it, he should have practiced martial arts back then!
On the way back to Yorkshire, Jessie curls up in her seat and doesn't say a word. Her head bowed, she seems absentminded, while Leigh keeps looking at her with a gloomy face.
The private jet arrives at Tourmaline Community and lands on the tarmac behind the artificial lake.
The servants at Tourmaline Community haven't been dismissed yet. When a servant hears the doorbell ringing, she hurriedly opens the door. Seeing Leigh carrying a woman, she is shocked.
"M ... Mr. Leigh."
Leigh ignores her and quickly carries Jessie upstairs.
Another servant then whispers to her companion, "Mr. Leigh is here. He doesn't look happy. Who is the woman in his arms?"
The asked servant hesitates and says, "It seems to be Miss Jessie."
The other servant is shocked.
The two servants look at each other and think to themselves that from tonight onwards, the peaceful days will be gone.
After entering the bedroom, Leigh puts Jessie on the sofa and unbuttons her blouse to vent his anger. He asks her, "Why did you run? Tell me."
Jessie lowers her head as if she hasn't heard anything.
"Jessie, I'm asking you a damn question!" Leigh squats down in front of her and grabs her chin hard, forcing her to look at him.
The black and white of her eyes are in distinct contrast. Her eyes are beautiful but listless. Her face is stained with tears.
There is no reflection of Leigh in her eyes because she can't see him.
Leigh notices something is wrong with her. Only then does he recall that Chace said that she cannot see. He feels as if his heart has been violently hit by a heavy object. Frustration and remorse surface in his heart.
"Sorry, I was too impulsive." Leigh's voice softens as he holds her hand.
Her hand is very cold, making his heart ache.
When he went to look for her, he told himself that he must not be angry with her, but when he sees her, he lost it.
Leigh placed her hand to his lips and kissed it. "Let's make up and live a happy life, okay? I won't be angry with you again, I promise," Leigh says softly.
Seeing that she still ignores him, Leigh leans over and hugs her. "Little Fairy, say something. I know that it was my fault in the past. You can beat me and scold me."
Leigh feels heartache when he realizes how skinny she is; she didn't have much flesh on her body.
"I forgive you. Let bygones be bygones." Leigh rests his head on her shoulder, sniffing her fragrance. His wandering heart finally finds its home and is no longer confused.
