Jessie is even more frightened. She explains in a panic, "He didn't touch me. When I was about to fall, he helped me. I have only slept with you. I'm not unchaste."
"I know." Looking at her, Leigh feels very uncomfortable. "I didn't disdain you. I mean, you're sweating all over and you need to take a bath."
Jessie lets go of his hand.
She lies in the bathtub and is stiff.
Leigh patiently helps her bathe. Occasionally, his fingers slide past her bulged belly. Knowing that his child is here, he feels contented.
When Jessie sits up with her back facing him, Leigh sees a few scars on her back.
It seems that she has been whipped and not being treated in time.
The scars are so shocking that Leigh is enraged. He touches them with his hand and asks Jessie, "Why there are scars on your back? Who hit you?"
Jessie shakes her head and whispers, "Nothing. I accidentally fell."
Leigh sneers, "Can falling down leave you whip scars? Jessie, do you think I'm stupid?"
Jessie doesn't reply.
Seeing that she looks down and doesn't want to tell the truth, Leigh doesn't ask again because he is afraid that his anger will frighten her.
After taking a bath, he wraps Jessie in a bathrobe and carries her out.
As soon as she reaches the bed, Jessie sits up and unties the bathrobe belt.
Leigh frowns.
From the moment she comes back, every move she makes can enrage him.
He really hates her for being so timid and lacking in self-esteem!
Leigh suppresses his anger and helps her change to a nightgown. Then, he tucks her in and says, "Sleep."
Jessie blinks and is at a loss, "Don't you want to..."
"No."
She raises her hand in the air, grabs his hand and says carefully, "Then can you let them go?"
Leigh doesn't say a word and puts her hand into the quilt.
After coming out of the bedroom, Leigh calls Justin. "Little Fairy is blind. I need a doctor to check her. I need a doctor tomorrow."
"Motherfucker ... it's three o'clock in the morning!" Justin, who is woken up by Leigh, is angry. "You called because she is blind? If she is blind, why don't you send her to the hospital?"
Leigh walks up and down by the window and is irritable. "She's pregnant. Those doctors in the hospital can't do it."
"Neither can my friends. They are occupied by their own business."
"Justin, please." Leigh scratches his scalp and whispers, "I need a doctor who can come to Yorkshire tomorrow. I'm willing to give him anything he wants."
Justin keeps silent for a long time and sighs, "I'll give you the address later. Send someone to pick him up."
"Thank you."
"Leigh, if you really like her, don't torture her." Before hanging up the phone, Justin says, "You can live without her. If her health is ruined, her life is ruined."
Leigh doesn't say anything and hangs up the phone.
A few minutes later, he receives an address from Justin.
Leigh sends the address to the pilot who has sent him to Country Y and asks him to pick up the doctor.
When Leigh returns to his bedroom, Jessie curls up on the bed and is asleep. Outside the window, the sun has risen.
Leigh hugs her and sleeps for a while. He wakes up in less than three hours.
Seeing that she is still asleep and is frowning, Leigh caresses her face. He gets out of bed gently. He goes to wash up and change clothes, and then leaves the bedroom.
He goes downstairs and sees the servant in the living room. He coldly instructs, "Take good care of her."
