“Those investigations were a detour from my 

th, but was more than willing to make them. I still hadn’t found all the answers, only more questions because in between those detours I learned my Mother’s

Stephan had asked me to check out a location that he believed was used by the Evil Moon Pack. I watched them as they made preparations to leave, I saw two men gather clothes in duffle–bags and I followed them. to the Black Moon Pack.” 

Suddenly Beta Rico starts laughing and his Mate punches him in the shoulder, but it doesn’t help. He keeps laughing until Alpha Maddox tells him to shut up 

“Sorry, but it just hit me. You painted their clothes bright orange.” He blurts out, while pointing at me. 

My Father, Alpha Maddox and a few others burst out in laughter and Jordan asks what the rest wants to know. “What is he talking about?” 

So I tell them about the cupcakes and the light pink dye His Mate doubles over when I am finished with my story and Beta Rico looks at her with a slight pout. 

My Father looks at me and says “I finally get to say Thank you.” And he explains what he had said through the mind–link that day. Alpha Maddox states that it had reminded him of the light pink clothes as he is still catching his breath from laughing. 

“If you were there, did you see where Grace went?” Dagmar asks me tentatively. 

“Yes, I saw the Wolfs follow her and I followed as well. I knew she would probably be able to shake them of her trail. But with the training I got as a young girl, I knew I would be able to stay on her trail.” I say as I look up at Jordan. 

“I followed her for days, until one day I felt as if I was coming home. I had to look around me a few times. But I figured out fast that we were not far from the border. She was staying in a cottage, which had been abandoned for decades.” 

I pause for a moment to let them absorb the information, in the meantime I link John and tell him to get to the door. I had asked Stephan who else we could trust, because I needed someone to bring in Roger. He send Orwell to collect him. 

“Hold it right there.” My Father yells. “She was that close and you didn’t warn us. We still don’t know what she was up to and now she might come back with vengeance.” 

In that moment the door swings open and John walks in with our guest. Right behind him is Orwell and he has Roger with him. 

“We will get our answers soon.” John says as he removes the hood from Grace’s face. She is startled when she realizes where she is. 

Roger isn’t in any better shape, but he is clueless as to why he was brought in.

Everyone is talking and asking questions. Most are staring daggers at Grace and she is trying to get away from John, but he only tightens his grip on her. 

I keep quiet and one by one my Squad–members fall silent, they are used to my action as I would always do it if I needed them to shut up. Soon the others realize that I am waiting for them to stop talking. 

“Dad, I would never let her escape, not after what she did.” I look from Grace to Dagmar. “I believe she told Max about you still being alive. And I also believe she convinced him to leave behind clues in the hope that you would go after him and you did.” 

Matteo steps forward and looks at Alpha Maddox. “I accept any punishment you give me. But there is something I never mentioned, because I didn’t think much of it at the time.” He says. 

I feel the same confusion, I see on Alpha Maddox’s face and I wonder what Matteo is talking about. 

“Eight years ago I was coming back from border–patrol carlier than usual. I cut through the graveyard, because I needed a shower and some sleep fast. When I heard someone talking I crept closer to see who it 

was. 

Grace was sitting at Luna Gina’s grave and she looked really pissed. She was mumbling that she should have been Luna by now. That she was not going to lose what belonged to her, to a little girl. 

I was unable to figure out what she meant, but after we were informed that she left shortly after our departure I felt that it was connected.” He is looking at the ground as he shares his story with us.
