As for Ray, Hunter, Arianna, and Michelle's opinions, they no longer mattered to Bella. Jack had used his Bentley to give them a rude awakening.
When she walked into the dorm room, Bella saw Luna and Gigi chatting with each other. Luna was amusedly retelling her encounter with a senior named Deacon Waters. He had wanted to pursue her, but she had rejected him.
Luna had a clear vision of her future partner. She believed that the ideal boyfriend was a tall, handsome, and wealthy man who drove around in a car that was worth over half a million dollars. But despite rejecting him, Luna started to praise Deacon, saying that he was actually a good guy. He was well-liked on campus, he just wasn't her type.
Her words seemed to be aimed at Bella. In a gentle voice, she said, "Bells, actually Deacon's a pretty great guy! At the very least, he's way better than that loser boyfriend you picked up from who knows where.
"Do you want to consider dating him? I can hook you guys up! Although he's not my type, he's still a member of the Entrepreneurs Association. I heard he even received a capital of two million dollars recently!"
Bella just smiled, turning a deaf ear to Luna's suggestion.
Gigi felt that Luna's words had crossed the line. She spoke up to defend Jack, "You can't put Jack down like that. He's really good at basketball, and he's handsome too."
Luna didn't agree. She said with a smirk, "I truly don't see anything good about him. Will playing basketball put food on the table? Can he make it as a professional basketball player?
"No matter how skilled he is, he's just considered average when compared to professional players. He won't even be able to join the Entrepreneurs Association. Do you even know the type of people who are allowed into the Association?"
Gigi shook her head. The Entrepreneurs Association operated on an invite-only basis. To Gigi, its workings were shrouded in mystery.
"Have you heard of Troy Ellis? He's the CEO of a multinational corporation with a market value of 100 billion dollars. There's also Francis Long, Henry Doherty, and Jasmine Wolfe. All of them are presidents of companies that are worth hundreds of billions of dollars. All of them share one characteristic—they were all members of the Entrepreneurs Association.
