A Night with Gideon novel Chapter 10

Gideon tightens his grip on his steering wheel. He was clenching his jaw and doing his best to stop himself from taking a U turn and drive back to the jeep’s terminal and drag that woman to his car. He should be in hospital at this point of time or in his office, working his as* off with piles of paper that he needs to study and sign.

His father was in the hospital. He had a minor heart attack yesterday. He and Carollete dragged their ass out of the mall and rushed towards the hospital when his mother called. His daddy is old, looking for a grandson. I think the old man thought the boy was just being pulled by the ribs.

He was in a meeting earlier even though he lacked sleep because he took care of his father yesterday. He accompanied his mommy during her stay in the hospital because maybe something will happen here. It often becomes hysterical and panics in such situations. His old woman lost her consciousness often, really need to be watched. 1 He was having his meeting with the engineers and architects about the airport that his father was planning years ago. Because they don’t have an airport in Bicol-in Camarines Sur, to be exact. That is good for tourism especially since there is only one airport in that province. And according to his research, the current airport was not doing that well.

He should be focused on his architects and engineers’ plan. The plan they suggested was in front of him. But why his f-cking mind was flying to Vesarius Airlines. He didn’t have a brain about what the person in front of him was saying, he flew towards his office and it seemed like a broken plate he repeatedly asked if the woman who always entered his mind was there. 1 He didn’t stop the secretary, Cleo, to ask if the interns from the university had arrived even though they had school at nine o’clock. He was disturbing his secretary at seven in the morning to ask that question repeatedly.

He even made sure that Lyzza Pacammara’s name was at the top even though the names of the students who passed the head HR interview were in alphabetical order. When Cleo informed him that the interns had arrived and the girl he was looking for was not there, he felt as if he had been kicked in the ass and was restless in his seat.

If that meeting wasn’t really important, he probably would have dismissed the four engineers and three architects he was talking to. Just then, his father might feel bad and have another heart attack because of him. Maybe it will be fixed, poor mother and her brother. He’s still a ghost. 2 He keeps asking Cleo for a report about the woman. He

knew that he was bothering his secretary that if he wasn’t her boss, she would probably tell him that he was bothering her with his pile of work.
