Chapter 10 

“I asked them to work overtime the very first night we were together,” Liam said casually. But only the brand designer knew the truth. They had to pull an all–nighter to barely get these garments done in time. 

Cynthia replied, “I didn’t agree to be with you at that time, 

Liam responded with certainty. “You can’t escape.” 

Cynthia, puzzled, asked, “But how did you know my size?” 

Liam glanced at his own hands as if they still retained the lingering touch of her figure. With a sly smile, he said. “My hands know” 

Sensing the topic was getting wild, Cynthia, her face flushed, hung up the phone. 

With the clothing issue settled, she picked out an outfit that matched her style from the pile of clothes, quickly washed up, and headed out. 

Mason and the two had made a plan–the moment Cynthia came back, they would send her straight to Daniel’s bed, even if it meant doing so by force. The company’s financial deficit was too severe to wait any longer. 

“What if she really spends the night with Mr. Roberts, Mason? Are you really going to give her 70% of the company shares?” 

That would be like handing the company directly to her” 

Felicia and Roseanne happened to be by Mason’s side during the phone call earlier, and when they heard about the shares, they couldn’t help but clench their fists. If Cynthia got her hands on the company, there would be no place left for them. 

Mason reached out and comforted Felicia by holding her hand, I’m not actually going to give her the company.” 

Hearing this. Felicia and Roseanne felt reassured. As long as Mason’s heart was firm. Cynthia the country bumpkin could stir up any trouble. 

When Cynthia arrived at the Larson residence, she braced herself for the storm she expected from Mason. However, she was surprised to see the trio behaving cordially, quite contrary to their usual selves. 

Mason simply asked her to sit down, then sent a signal to Felicia with his eyes, 

Understanding the cur, Felicia immediately went to the kitchen, poured a glass of juice, and brought it to Cynthia, expressing her concern, “Cynthia, you must’ve had a hard time last night, 

Cynthia stared at the glass of juice with no apparent trace of tampering, smiled, but did not take it 

With a forced smile on her face, Felicia kept holding the glass 

Roseanne, unable to stand seeing her mother treated poorly, retorted, “Cynthia, she might be your stepmother but she’s your elder. She’s condescending to pour you juice. Do you really need to be so standoffish?” 

Cynthia sneered, “Did I ask her to pour it, or did I ask her to wreck someone else’s home, to become my stepmother?” 

“Enough,” Mason intervened. 

Felicia, being pan down, looked uncomfortable. However, as someone who had been the other woman, she knew how to read the room and weigh the pros and cons. Instead of showing her anger, she kept a smile.
