Chapter 163
Cynthia turned around and saw several men in the room who were not interested in singing raise their heads silently. She explained with embarrassment, “I really can’t sing.”
“It’s okay. We’re just singing for fun.” Cameron, who had been silent, suddenly spoke.
“But-” Cynthia wanted to refuse, but Queena chose the latest popular song and handed her the microphone. Cynthia had formed an omnipotent image in Queena’s mind before, so Queena naturally regarded Cynthia’s decline as a courtesy.
The prelude of the song sounded, and the music video was playing on the screen. Cynthia had heard this song many times and kept its melody in her mind. Looking at everyone’s expectant faces, she could only warn them first, “I’m really not good at singing. Don’t laugh later.”
“Cynthia, don’t be modest. You have such a beautiful voice. How can you sing poorly?” Like a fan, Queena sat on the couch, leaned forward, and looked at Cynthia admiringly with her head propped up in her hands.
Cynthia forced a smile and brought the microphone to her mouth as a countdown appeared on the screen. On the count of three, she calmly sang the first line of the song. The original joyful and melodious song completely changed and sounded flat, as if she was reading and not singing.
Queena was so shocked that her elbow slipped, and her forehead almost hit the corner of the table. Fortunately, Vincent quickly grabbed the back collar of her clothes.
Cynthia was still singing. Queena turned and asked in disbelief, “Vincent, is Cynthia doing it on purpose?” It was too awkward for Vincent to comment. Everyone could only look at Liam. With a smile, Liam asked Vincent to hand him another microphone.
In fact, Cynthia did not find anything wrong with her singing. In her mind, she was at least singing in tune. It was not until a clear male voice joined in that she realized her problem and
moved the microphone away. She looked back and saw Liam walking slowly toward her.
When Liam was singing, he looked straight at Cynthia affectionately. Cynthia was fascinated. When Liam raised her microphone to her lips, she shook her head. Only now did she realize Liam could sing so well. With his image and voice, he could even make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. She just wanted to enjoy his singing quietly now. Seeing Cynthia’s gaze, Liam raised his eyebrows smugly.
The song Queena picked was a love song, and there were parts where two people could sing together. While the interlude was playing, Liam leaned closer and whispered in Cynthia’s ear, “Let’s sing together later.”
“No,” Cynthia refused. Liam assured her, “Don’t worry. I will guide you.”
The countdown was displayed on the screen. Liam brought the microphone to Cynthia’s mouth as he sang. Cynthia had no choice but to sing in a low voice. Although Cynthia was still tone–deaf, Liam was not affected and continued singing perfectly.
The last line of lyrics on the screen wrote: [I swear I will love you forever.]
Cynthia was now focused on whether she was singing in tune and did not pay much attention to the content of the lyrics. Seeing that the song was about to end, she did not control her volume much.
For the last line, Liam pretended to put the microphone to his lips but did not sing, while Cynthia shouted at the top of her voice. The two looked at each other. Because Cynthia seemed to be speaking rather than singing, this scene looked like she was confessing her love to Liam.
“You said it yourself.” Liam held the microphone and spoke with a smile. Cynthia’s ears went red, and she punched his chest and complained sheepishly, “You did it on purpose.”
“No matter what, you have said it. I have proof.” Then, Liam looked in Vincent’s direction and said, “Remember to send it to me.” Cynthia turned around and saw Vincent quietly make an okay gesture.
Cynthia pouted and sat down. Liam came over in a good mood and held her in his arms. At this time, Liam received a message on his phone. He opened it and saw the video of the two of them singing just now.
The more Cynthia watched it, the angrier she became. Her cheeks puffed up like a pufferfish. ‘Men are really bad!‘ she thought. Her eyes darted around, and she suddenly had an idea.
Cynthia withdrew from Liam’s arms and tilted her head innocently. She deliberately found fault with him. “Why didn’t you sing the lyrics just now? Are you not going to love me forever?”
Liam was stunned. What the hell is this?‘ he thought. He just suddenly wanted to hear Cynthia say that to him when he saw the lyrics and did not think about anything else.
Looking at Cynthia’s angry face, Liam was anxious. “Cynthia, are you angry?” He moved toward Cynthia and tried to hold her in his arms again. But she moved away, and he could not grab her,
Liam, who would remain calm even when facing a huge crisis, was now getting anxious. He could only tug at Cynthia’s little finger cautiously since she resisted vigorously when he touched other parts of her body. “Cynthia, don’t be angry. I didn’t know you did not like it, I won’t do it again.”

Chapter 163
Everyone else in the room saw Liam’s look and secretly had goosebumps. ‘Is he still the CEO of Sullivan Group who is confident and decisive in the business world? Why does he appear like his wife’s slave?‘ they wondered.
Liam noticed their gaze and immediately glanced over with a frown. His voice became cold again. “What are you looking at? Have you never seen someone cheering his wife up?” Then, he turned to look at Cynthia gently. The speed at which his expression changed amazed everyone present.
Seeing that Cynthia did not take his hand away, Liam boldly held her whole hand in his palm. His big palm wrapped around her tender hand, looking lustful in the dim light. Then, he observed Cynthia’s reaction, bent over, rested his head on her shoulder, and nuzzled intimately.

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
