Chapter 178
Roseanne didn’t think much about her mother’s cruelty.
After all, Mason had been so mad these days that he didn’t look like a father, and what he did made Roseanne hate his guts.
They finally took a look outside the monitoring room.
The man, who was usually high–spirited, was lying motionless inside with a tube inserted into his body.
Roseanne took out her phone and took a photo. She caught the right angle, which made the person in the photo look pitiful.
Felicia asked suspiciously, “What are you doing?”
Roseanne logged onto a social media website and posted the photos anonymously before replying, “Now the Internet is full of complaints about Cynthia’s arrogance and disrespect for her elders. It is still very popular now. If Mason’s heart attack appears at this time, what do you think those people will think?”
Felicia’s eyes lit up and praised Roseanne for her cleverness. “My daughter is smart. They will think that it was Cynthia who made him so angry. Consider this payback for what she’s done.”
The mother and daughter discussed about this as they left the hospital.
When they returned to the Larson residence, Felicia began to rummage through boxes and cabinets for the property ownership certificate.
“Mom, why are you looking for the property ownership certificate?” Roseanne asked.
“Now that Mason is in this state, we have to think for ourselves. This house should be worth a lot of money. We’ll sell it before Cynthia reacts. We can’t leave this place to that bitch,” Felicia said.
Roseanne also felt that what her mother said was reasonable and began to help her.
Right then, Mason was unattended at the hospital and owed money for his admission.
The hospital could only go to Larson Group.
Cynthia was learning about the development of Larson Group with Liam.
Hearing the hospital’s notice, she widened her eyes in disbelief.
“I remember his wife and daughter were informed,” Cynthia replied.
“A mother and a daughter did come to the hospital just now, but they denied their relationship after asking about Mr. Larson’s condition and asked me to find his biological daughter in Larson Group,” the hospital representative said.
Cynthia knew they must have been Roseanne and Felicia.
Cynthia asked, “Have they left?”
The hospital representative replied, “They just stayed for a few minutes and left.”
Cynthia frowned, Puzzled, she wondered, ‘Could they be more heartless?‘
When Mason was well, they tried everything to curry his favor. Now, he hadn’t even died, and they already abandoned him.
Liam was not surprised by what they did. He put his hand on Cynthia’s and said in a low voice, “I will ask Ziv to have a look.”
‘No, I’ll go in person,” Cynthia said.
“Then, I’ll stay with you,” Liam said.
They went straight to the hospital.
This time, the doctor agreed to let them into the ICU.
Cynthia stood beside Mason’s bed and looked at the man in the oxygen mask.
“Cynthia, you came to see me,” Mason said weakly. He raised his right hand to grab Cynthia’s hand.
Cynthia took a big step back. “Mason, it sure doesn’t feel good to be abandoned by the people you always cared for, doesn’t it?”
Mason’s hand dropped and never lifted again. The muscles on his face kept twitching, clearly indicating his intense anger.
Chapter 178
When Felicia and Roseanne were outside the monitoring room, he saw them and vaguely heard their conversation with the doctor.
He was so angry that he almost died.
He had treated them well, yet they wanted to give up on him.
Mason looked at Cynthia and said guiltily, “Cynthia, I’m sorry. You’re the only one who comes to see me at this hour. I was wrong for mistreating you.”
It sounded touching, but his expression was not remorseful. Instead, he looked gloomy and violent after finding out that he had been betrayed.
Cynthia knew that he was only saying these because he knew there was no one else to rely on. If she left him alone, he would probably die in the hospital.
It was why he chose to relent now.
It was such a rare sight for Cynthia. She took out a card and threw it on the bed. “The money in this card can be used for an emergency, but don’t get me wrong. When I was a kid, you let me live on my own. I won’t be merciful to you now. The company is currently sorting out the finances and shares. Your portion will be allocated separately. If there’s extra, I’ll send it to you; if there’s less, I won’t ask you for it again. Consider it a humanitarian donation.”
After saying that, she took Liam and left.
“Cynthia, are you really leaving me alone?” Mason shouted.
Cynthia didn’t look back.
They took the elevator downstairs.
The parking lot of the hospital was in the square outside.

When they walked out of the entrance, there were many people around them.
Although this was the peak time of the hospital, these people were not in the hospital but gathered outside.
Something was amiss.
Before Cynthia could think about it, one of those people noticed them and immediately shouted, “It’s her. This vicious woman has no respect for the elders and even angered her father into the ICU.”
Everyone gathered around and pointed at Cynthia. Some of them even threw things at her.
Before Cynthia could react, she noticed a shadow in front of her.
She was held tightly in Liam’s arms.
The man snorted, followed by the sound of something falling to the ground.
The people around didn’t stop because they hit someone, and all kinds of small objects were still thrown over.
Cynthia wanted to check if Liam was injured. As soon as she raised her head, she felt a pair of big palms on the back of her head, burying her head deeper into his arms.
Liam opened his suit jacket and wrapped Cynthia in it to prevent her from getting hit.

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
