Chapter 197
Cynthia arrived in just half an hour, completing a route that typically takes an hour.
As soon as the car stopped. Hallet rushed to the roadside and vomited. The acidic stench of his partially digested lunch was overwhelming. After emptying his stomach, he felt a bit better.
Suddenly, a hand holding a boule of water appeared before him. Hallet looked up. In the backlight, the girl’s face appeared serene. Queena’s brows were slightly furrowed as she asked, “Are you okay?” Hallet stared blankly, accepting the water and giving Queena a goofy smile.
Queena, seeing how miserable he looked, had offered the water out of kindness. Startled by his reaction, she quickly returned to Cynthia’s side. Cynthia noticed Queena was scared, so she kindly explained on Hallet’s behalf, “Queena, he’s my senior. We grew up together. Although he has a sharp tongue, he’s not a bad person. You don’t need to be too guarded against him.”
Queena nodded, which indicated that she understood.
Haller,

feeling awful, mentally praised Cynthia for explaining on his behalf.
Cynthia, curious about why Liam hadn’t gotten out of the car, opened the door to find him pale and motionless. “What’s wrong?” she asked with

“Don’t touch me. I just need a moment” Liam struggled to calm the churning in his stomach, and he managed to squeeze out a sentence.
Cynthia withdrew her hand in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you’re carsick cool” She remembered they had raced together before without any issues. She wondered. “Why is he carsick by this short drive today? Could his carsickness be caused by unacclimatization?
Just when Cynthia was puzzled by this, Hallet finally recovered. He scornfully remarked, “With your driving, anyone’s stomach would churn”
“That’s because you are weak. How can you blame me?” Cynthia retorted.
Hallet recovered soon after he finished vomiting. He shook his head when he saw that Liam was still struggling. “You’ll feel better after throwing up. Holding it in will only prolong your suffering
Liam closed his eyes, striving to maintain his composure, Despite his bulging veins, he resisted the urge to vomit, driven by pride.
Seeing this, Hallet pursed his lips in disdain. “What a prideful fool.” Haller thought, “He’s making me look cheap, especially when Queena is here. I’m afraid she would think my behavior just now was very uncouth.
Cynthia pushed Hallet aside in disgust. “Go away
Hallet shrugged nonchalantly. “With how he is, he won’t stand a chance against Master Buckley and Master Garten later.” He couldn’t be bothered with them and turned to look at Queena. “Thanks for the water earlier.”
“You’re welcome” Although Queena was no longer afraid of him, she remained reserved. After all, they just met, and she was unfamiliar with him and the surroundings
Haller didn’t mind her coldness and took her luggage, leading the way down a small path. “Let’s go. I will take you to seule down first.”
“But Cynthia is still here” Queena hesitated.
“Don’t worry
about them. It will be a little difficult for them to get in Hallet yelled toward Cynthia. “You’d better let him hurry up. It gets dark early now. If you can’t calm Master Buckley and Master Garten down by then, you might deep outside tonight.”
Cynthia said. “It’s none of your business. Just get Queena seuled first”
The house stood about more than 650 feet away from the road, and it was encircled by a fenced yard. Besides herbs, there was also a coffee table set up in the yard. Evan and Delilah had been waiting in the yard early this morning.
When Queena followed Hallet in, she saw the two people in the yard. She came forward and politely greeted them. “Hello, Master Buckley and Master Garten
Evan and Delilah glanced at each other, curious about this unfamiliar girl. “Hallet, didn’t you go to pick up Cynthia Why did you bring back a girl?”
Cynthia only had time to inform Haller that Queena was coming, leading Evan and Delilah to mistakenly believe that Hallet had brought Queena back.
Delilah stood up and examined Queena closely. “When did such a remote and impoverished place get such a beautiful girl! If I use her to raise my parasite, it’ll be exceptionally beautiful With that, Delilah reached out and tried to pinch Queena’s cheek
Queena was so frightened that she hid behind Hallet, thinking. Why? Parasites! I never thought they existed. It’s hard to believe someone as kind- looking as that elderly woman would raise such creatures. Despite her age, she carried herself elegantly in a gown that didn’t fit the image of

someone associated with parasites. Cynthia was right! The kinder people appear here, the less trustworthy they seem.‘
Hallet felt Queena trembling from behind him and smirked subtly. After placing the luggage down, he explained. “Master Garten, don’t scare Queena. Cynthia brought her here. She won’t let you off if you use her to raise a parasite.
Hearing this. Delilah immediately looked toward the gate. “Where is she? Why didn’t Cynthia come in when she’s back?”

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
