Meanwhile, everyone in the Clara family was informed to arrive at the company within half an hour, or they would be expelled from the group. 

It was late at night, and most of the people had already fallen asleep. On hearing such a notice, everyone complained but still obeyed the order. 

The first rule of the Clara family was to obey all orders from the head of the family unconditionally.
