Chapter 311
“Actually, you don’t really need to do this. I just need a little bit of time, Cynthia said, her voice tinged with a hint of distress. However, Liam was more concerned about her period cramps not seeing improvement, so he gently gave Cynthia a comforting massage before withdrawing his hand. He then climbed out of bed and began dressing before ferching a coat for her.
“Come on. Let’s go have dinner, he suggested warmly.
Cynthia got up from the bed but felt a sudden discomfort in her stomach, prompting her to rush to the bathroom. Once she had taken care of herself she exited the bathroom to find Liam standing at the doorway. Before Cynthia could voice a question, he swooped down, lifting her into his arms with ease. “Ah!” Cynthia exclaimed, then instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. “I’m almost better now. I can walk on my own,” she protested lightly, attempting to wriggle free.
Liam tightened his grip and said. “That can wait until you’re fully recovered. Hold on tight, and don’t blame me if you fall.” As they conversed, they approached the stairs. From Cynthia’s viewpoint, the height seemed intimidating, prompting her to cling more firmly to the man without daring to move further. Liam, gazing down at Cynthia’s beautiful face, couldn’t resist planting a gentle kiss on her forehead. They then made their way slowly to the dining room. The servants, observing this tender scene, sighed internally. He’s treating Mrs. Sullivan so well. It’s surprising to see a man of Mr. Sullivan’s stature displaying such affection toward his wife.
At that mom
moment. Winnie noticed them descending and had already prepared breakfast on the table. After Liam sented Cynthia onto a chair, he picked up a spoon to feed her, “I can handle this myself she said, her cheeks thishing with embarrassment as Winnie looked on with a smile. Taking hold of the spoon, Cynthia insisted. “You should eat as well” Liam raised an eyebrow but did not press the issue further.
After they finished breakfast, Liam carried Cynthia back to their room. Once she was comfortably back in bed, he prepared a warm water bottle for ber and placed it gently on her belly. Then he sat beside her, laptop in tow. Seeing him like this, Cynthia couldn’t help asking. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the company today!”
“How can I be at case knowing you’re in this state? I’m not in the mood for work; I’d rather stay here with you, Liam replied as he watched on Laptop and began reviewing documents from work Catching Cynthia’s gaze, he turned and softly instructed. “Try to rest. Let me know if you start feeling unwell, okay**
At his words, Cynthia felt her heart mehing. Since childhood, the harbored little expectations for men due to the impression Mason had left her.. Unexpectedly, she managed to meet a man who not only met her expectations but also exceeded them. The more Cynthia reflected on this, the more grateful she felt for meeting him, and she moved to embrace his waist, resting her head against his leg “Honey, you’re the best she murmured softly.
Startled by her sudden movement, Liam nearly dropped his laptop but managed to stabilize it on the bedside table. Looking down at her tenderly, he responded, “What’s wrong! Can’t fall asleep?”
Ash stroked her head and gently patted her shoulder in a soothing manner,
“Sure, but why the sudden desire for music” Liam queried his voice elongating slightly
Think
your
singing is beautiful. Maybe it will help my
y stomach ache less” Cynthia said, behaving playfully.
“Okay, what would you like to hear?” he asked.
“Anything will do,” came Cynthia’s response
Liam thought for a moment, then began singing a song that was familiar to them both. Before long. Cynthia drifted off to sleep during the melody.
It was nearing noon when her phone abruptly rang. Cynthia was still sleeping and tumed over in a daze Glancing over with a hint of irritation, Liam quickly silenced the phone before it could disturb her further. He was about to disconnect the call but seeing Gerald’s name on the display. he hesitated, sensing the urgency. After what had transpired the previous evening, Liam was reluctant to let Cynthia be drawn into another crisis involving the Clara family. Yet, given the caller’s status and the directness of the call, he felt compelled to answer.
As soon as the call connected, Gerald’s anxious voice filled the air, “Cynthia, can you come to the hospital now?”
Afrown creasing his brows, Liam refused in a hushed tone. “Mr. Zimmer, Cynthia isn’t well and is currently resting. It wouldn’t be convenient for her to come to the hospital”
“What?” The shock in Gerald’s voice was palpable. He then asked urgently. “Is it serious?”
“Yes” Before Liam could craft a more detailed response, Cynthia, now awake, snatched the phone from him.
“Mr. Zimmer, what’s the issue?” she asked,
1, her voice still groggy from sleep.
Gerald was momentarily taken aback by the swift change in speaker, then quickly relayed the situation. “Cynthia Anthony developed a postoperative fever. 1 wouldn’t have bothered you, but no doctor here is willing to step in, and that crazy old man from the Clara family is causing a scene. I’m worried if we don’t act soon, things could escalate,”

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
